I don't think that is the case at all. Heads rolled over the last time they discontinued the ranger. They need to compete with Canyon, Colorado, Tacoma and soon the Dakota.
No thanks, they are $10,000-15,000 more and have NO options.
I'd rather have a toilet and some normal options than an empty shell.
Especially considering how heavy the Scout actually is.
The weights listed are with propane, batteries etc, AC is a wall unit, not rooftop only adding 40-60lbs. (which I am not adding)
My Lariat is 4x4 and payload is 1560. Plus I added Sumo Springs last spring.
I will definitely be close to max, but I don't think that is cause for alarm.
Keep in...
I have been trying to find a small slide in camper for over a year.
I was able to find a small fiberglass camper, but it was a bit cramped.
Luckily, Torklift makes great tie downs for the Ranger...
Screen was black the first time. Shut off. waited, nothing, screen would not come on. Did the Power+FF button and reset. The screen came up but all of my features and options are gone.
The radio works, but not Sat radio. The climate control screen comes up, but doesn't work. Back up cam doesn't...
Got into my truck, radio was black.
Turned off, waited, then eventually did the power+skip reset.
Radio came on, nav was missing, sat radio was missing, back up cam doesn't work, cell/4g doesn't work, and the radio/nav/time info isn't appearing on my right side gauge cluster.
What the heck is...

Here is a question for you:
Why does the European version of the ranger have such a higher payload?
1140kg = 2513 lbs
Towing capacity is identical.
Is it due to the 2.0L Diesel?
Air bags are a pain, sumo springs are better in my opinion!
I had air bags in my 2011 Pleasureway Excel E350 chassis. I hated them. The sumo springs controlled the sway better, and had much less bounce.
The Ford camera disconnects behind the bumper and harness carries the tailgate lock and...
Thank you very much @P. A. Schilke !
My main concern was the camper protruding over the bumper by 16”.
I am sure the weight at that point is minimal, I just wantEd to be sure!
I was a little worried about the camper center of gravity being shifted behind the axle a bit, but if the hitch could...
