A local dealership has a web page dedicated to ordering all versions of the 6G ranger at msrp and a $100 refundable deposit. I filled out the forms and got a response that they won't do orders on the Raptor because they will only be allocated one. Ford is only hurting their own sales if their flagship off road model is so hard to get and a Tremor is off the table for now. I'm out for 23 unless something changes.

24 dollars to make some noodles soggy, toss in 3$ worth of chicken and another 2$ in sauce..

I like my 19 Lariat, and all my mods , I don't wanna go through all those mods again with retirement money, besides I dont even have 28k on mine and I won't get as good a deal as I did on this one let alone zero % for 72 months like I did on this one.
2019-2020 was a great time to buy a pickup truck
Today you pay 2020 prices and 8% interest on a dented truck with 100k miles

Yep, I bought my truck in March 21, right before the market went nuts, and I'm certain the salesman and sales manager took turns kicking each other in the rear for the deal they gave me.

Not interested in a 6G. As was mentioned no supercab, I don't likes the looks of it . . . at all, prices have gone nuts since I ordered mine in early March of '21, and mine is paid off long already. Not even slightly interested in truck payments, either.

One inch longer and one inch wider? No thank you. Bigger isn't better.
I'm not certain, but I've read it's actually .2 inches shorter. Not sure about the width. The increase of a few inches here and there are in the wheelbase, but not necessarily in the total size. But hey, I agree, I don't need the never ending creep of size.

The ability to fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood between the wheel wells is cool. Otherwise, after watching all the youtube reviews at the press days, I'm not sold. From what I read is they didn't give it the new 2.3 engine with port and direct injection. I also prefer manual controls and really dislike the tablet displays for the odometer area and center stack. Lack of a Tremor package to compete with the Colorado Trail Boss, Canyon ATX4 and the Tacoma TRD Off-road was a miss in my opinion.

I dislike the looks more than I like the extra room.

Probably, I am not in a big hurry though. I like the wider bed and also the bedside steps. With the longer wheelbase and wider track it should have better street manners.

EDIT- just saw the 2024 "colors". 3 greys, silver, black, white, red and blue. Hopefully they will get more color in the future.

I'm curious what my fellow 5G members think about upgrading to the 6G. I listed my theoretical pros / cons below.

Pro:
- Possible next generation 2.3 ecoboost with direct and port injection
- Modernized interior with wireless carplay / android auto
- Possible 2.7 ecoboost availability
- Better HVAC control layout
- Bed side step
- Improved gauge cluster (Those of you with Lariats will appreciate this.)
- Most likely will offer integrated factory brake controller

Cons:
- Styling is questionable. Certainly not as recognizable as 5G
- More tech... more problems right?
- Gear shifter is 100% electronic... no mechanical linkage

I plan on upgrading mainly for the improved interior. Let me know what you think!
Yes, upgrading to Ranger Raptor in 2025. Maybe the end of 2024 if my house is complete by then. The Ranger Raptor has everything I've done to my truck, but 10x better and tested. I can't wait!!!
