Why the level? Why the rake?

Saved you the trouble.

See that lower control arm. It doesn't move with a lift/level.

My truck is lifted 2" up front on 33" tires. True, the hood sits about 4½" taller than it did factory on 30.5"s.

But I only gained about 2½" in clearance.
Actually you would gain 1.25 inches cause while the tires are 2.5 inches taller you are only getting half the height benefit cause the axles are mounted in the center so radius is what matters not diameter. Also yes the lower control arms and stuff don't move but it does raise the sprung bits so for preventing you from framing out on certain obstacles it is useful but there is no replacement for larger tires.

Correct.

I forgot a step in the equation.

The leveling doesn't change the weight distribution much if any
“If any” … you may want to rethink that next time you will load something in the bed. The marginal static weight distribution change makes a huge difference dynamically.

I just did mine. Purely for the stance I wanted. Also new wheels with +10 offset pushed out just a bit. Overall look is much better to my eye. Parked today next to a Isuzu Dmax and the difference was very noticeable. Sat far taller and looked more like a "truck". If that makes sense.

You do realize that by adding weight to the bed the back drops by the same amount but because the front is no longer lower and is now level it appears to be higher but is still at the same level still has the same weight on it the relative angle is different slightly but it doesn't magically raise the front when you load something the front doesn't get lifted up the back just drops

I lowered my 2021 4whl dr. xlt ranger 5" at rear and 2 3/4" at the front
I can now drive it like a car (fast cornering), I can get in and out with out a step ladder or running boards and reach in and work off the tail gate !
I used Belltech spring flip kit for the rear and it works well, BUT don't use Belltech for the front, it is poorly designed and leaves 3/4" slop in the spring mount, Belltech said this doesn't matter, butt I know of NO vehicles
that have designed slop in their springs from the factory....
If you want to lower the front as well use adjustable coil/over springs
that are made to fit like the factory setup, from another manufacture.
Ford makes the ranger high to be the same as all other competiters

The higher you lift it, the less you have to worry about stopping to pick up short hitch-hikers. They'll take one look at your lifted truck coming their way and will immediately take their thumb down. :like:

This was pre-spring upgrade but after the 1.5 inch front level. Sucker was packed full.

Nice truck!

Way more stuff than we are getting. Picking up a king size pine bedroom set so only need the small trailer. Trip is 300 miles each way.
