My buddies always give me crap about what I carry in my vehicle Just In Case.
I quit caring when I came across an accident on highway 16 in B.C. Canada and my fire extinguisher gave rescuers just enough time to get two people out of a wrecked Jeep before it was fully engulfed in flames.
Fire ext., first aid kit, road flares, tow strap, jump box and/or jumper cables, blankets, gloves, frozen water. More on road trips.

Now that I've installed one of these, (and seeing how small it really is, I will probably put another on the other side), what do you guys think should be carried in the way of tools in your truck? Some basic ones like an assortment of screwdrivers pliers, a hammer, adjustable, etc., but would like to hear what you guys carry in your truck, mainly for something you might need on the road.

I have wondered the same thing. Basic stuff.
And I see YOUR box also came with a pivot lock. Still chasing mine.
Nice bed interior, by the way. Good job!

Nothing but a pair of jumper cables. We don't have winter here and as far as all the other stuff that's what roadside assistance is for. I've carried around enough stuff throughout the years and froze my a$$ off back in the N'east fixing stuff. Now that I'm older I just let roadside assistance handle it. Yeah I know sometimes it takes them a while to get to you but it's free and I'm getting lazy. :D
Since this post I've now upgraded to a jumper pack, tire patch kit, survival shovel, gloves and my Viair compressor. But when traveling I take a tote full of tools, jack stands, a bottle jack recovery gear.

Thank you! Very good thread, close to sticky quality.
Yes there are some good responses on here. Sometimes you find stuff you didn't realize you should be carrying although that's a double edge sword because it usually cost you more money. lol

Like the jumpstarter and bottle jack I want to get.
And the recovery rope or strap.
and a small tool set with lots of 10mm sockets.
Stuff like that.
