Thing is, if they aren’t onboard with EV’s the small minority of Greenies will scream to high heaven and regulate them until they do.
EV’s are right for some people but I’m against forcing them on everyone.
I agree with this statement at present. Ultimately, as battery tech and photovoltaic tech improves, arguments against ev will disappear. The only people really left will be the people in to retro tech.
Years ago, my brother in law commented: "I'd never buy a hybrid vehicle! Gas would have to be around $4 a gallon for the savings to off set the extra cost."

Well, here we are.

and it will happen... the word globalist and communist are basically interchangeable at this point.
Oy.
First, please get a new dictionary.
Second, please remember that back in the day, a few people said "Hey, automobiles are the future". Everyone else said "Those things are horrible! They just scare the horses!"

For me, I don't wanna get stuck on the side of a mountain with a dead battery. As soon as the tech meets my needs, I'm in.
I'm also old enough to remember the beginnings of personal computers. There was a time when people tried unsuccessfully to use them for everything despite the fact that a pencil and paper might have still been faster. I was against this.
Fast forward to today, the tech has evolved, and now meets my needs. Here I sit, typing on my tablet.
For those of you complaining about EV's:
I just wanna point out.... the mailman came today. None of you have sent me a letter.

Those in love with EV's as the vehicle of the future, they may be. But to assume it is inevitable is not smart either. Not every new technology is as successful as the ICE vehicle has been in replacing horses. Some totally fail, and some have a short life. Consider Beta, DVD, steam vehicles, Tivo, Segway, BlackBerry. Some fail, some are stepping stones to a better solution, and some are too far ahead of the reality of the technology. (Read pushed to solve questionable crises)

So kind of you to start a conversation by being rude, and talking down to others. You missed the point of my reply. Thank you for allowing me to see that you need to be on the block list.

To be clear, I am NOT a conspiracy theorist. That said, we have to recognize that very large corporations had a very substantial interest in keeping us all in ICE vehicles. It's only now that the convergence of public pressure, technology that they didn't have to pay to develope and the exposure of the media has forced these companies to change.

We went from Kitty Hawk to the moon in 66 years. How is it possible that 137 years after the first Benz patent, we're still in gas powered vehicles?

Just sayin.

True, but also I don't believe the government should make gas artificially more expensive and EV's artificially less expensive. People forget that the electricity to charge batteries has to come from somewhere and wind and solar isn't enough.

I currently spend about $300 a month on gas. If I had an EV instead, would my electric bill go up by $300?
I don't know.

Honestly it could as right now with the fact that Electricity costs have gone up due to this current Administration's war on energy independence it can cost more to drive an EV than an ICE powered vehicle. Not to mention sorry to say more people sucking on the grid is going to drive prices up because increased demand.

It's possible because they are still the most economical and efficient form of transportation and electric vehicles are neither. Only artificial outside influences make the EV of any interest.

Supply goes down, price goes up.
Demand goes up, price goes up.
Supply goes down and demand goes up, price goes up a lot.

Why yes, as a matter of fact I do have a degree in economics.
