California is looking to pay Reparations now. Of course that money is coming from my tax dollars. I need to move out of here. Oh wait, they may still tax me once I'm gone! see articles below. It's a shame. We have so many great places in this state for enjoying offroading and overlanding in the Ranger. If they're not burned down then they're shut down. This whole C19 thing is a huge power/control grab. If you look up yearly flu stats for this season it's basically 'non-existent' b/c virtually everything is being reported as C19. Here in northern IL its a joke, if you are in the socialist city of Chicago you can be ticketed for merely walking on a public sidewalk alone w/o a mask on. I'm about an hour west and everything is open except corporate restaurants, some are take-out only and many are just closed. Other than that we are going about business as normal b/c I'm not a trust fund kid and need to work. I'm not looking to add any more generational legacy-debt via bailouts that descendants I will never live long enough to meet will be saddled with paying.. JMO.
I'm going to try and head out this weekend. Hopefully I don't have some nut job trying to stop me. I'm thinking Anza-Borrego or the Alabama Hills. At least most Overlanders enjoy their freedom and don't want to be bothered by others. Speaking of which, this Ranger is the perfect vehicle for Overlanding!I'm in CA too, plenty of trails still open, I use the all trails app
Also camping in the desert, BLM land not controlled by the state park system
We stopped at a new Costco Monday to check it out. Noticed they took away all the seating and condiments but the self serve soda machine was still up. I guess they figured "science" hasn't caught up here.I went to Costco the other day, and it was shoppers packed in and shoulder to shoulder with masks on. But then i went to get a hot dog and soda, and you are not allowed to fill your own soda, they have a dedicated employee that does it for you to prevent covid from spreading. Because "science" apparently....![]()

?Paper money can reportedly carry more germs than a household toilet. And bills are a hospitable environment for gross microbes: viruses and bacteria can live on most surfaces for about 48 hours, but paper money can reportedly transport a live flu virus for up to 17 days.

What I think is even funnier /sarcasm/ is they won't touch your Costco card (Covid) but they will take/touch your money which has been proven to be full of germs.?
