Just got home from my road trip and the Carlinkit was sitting in front of the door. Yet another item I saw on the forum I didn’t know I needed.
🤬🤬😂🤣😂

Install will have to wait. I’m beat from the trip!

Damn, I just noticed the box says “Android”. I ordered a CarPlay / Android capable unit. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow. 🤷

New UCAs for the Ranger. These are absolutely awesome. Here is what I can say: Don't buy from RPG. Their communication and customer service sucks. It took 8 calls, 3 emails, and reaching out on Instagram to finally get the order placed. On top of that, it took 9 weeks to get through my 2 week wait.

Before you ask, I went with RPG because of the price. They are $300 cheaper than the next option and only 1 of 2 companies that make the billet UCAs for the Ranger now. Icon stopped making them. I have the Icon tubular UCAs on my truck but with my lift, I am outside spec and needed additional camber adjustment. These will allow me to get the alignment back in spec. And with $2200 in tires, I definitely don't want to roach these tires too soon.

It was actually in an email but received my new truck registration. The registration isn't bad (it's only $8.00) it's the vehicle tax that's a killer and this is reduced every year and it's still $338.48. IIRC the first year was around $550.00 but I can't complain because our property taxes and insurance are still very reasonable here.

Gotta tax everything they can. Bought a truck? Sales tax. Didn't buy a truck? Tax because you own the truck.

At least in Idaho you pay the tax on the purchase... once. Tax on something you already own is extortion. If it's to pay for road maintenance then say so since we all share that. This fee based on the year of the vehicle or it's value is not right.

It does go for the road repairs and maintenance and the roads here are in decent shape. Not as good as they are up in Phoenix but much better than they were in MA and we paid the same tax there. And yes we do pay a sales tax on the purchase too. I swear they'll start taxing the air you breathe if/when they can find a way to do it! 🤬

We dont have a "personal property tax" in AZ like we did back in VA...so I am told this declining tax on our vehicle registration takes the place of that.

And Dave is right in that we do have pretty well maintained roads here.

That would be way less than our yearly property taxes. That's a county thing and it does help the school district budget we live in amongst the other usual stuff like EMS, etc.. Okay, it doesn't sound so bad now! 😂

Oh, we still have Real Property taxes as well on our homes. No way they're gonna let go of that.

Back in VA when we grew up there, there was a county sticker to be bought, and personal property tax on anything with wheels and boats, and mobile homes/double wides. I assume its pretty much still the same.

Because….

I might need an intervention or a twelve step program because this makes three - one at the car wash in PEI, @LaBalbe ’s when we were installing his Elevate, and this most recent one.

This set is steel so maybe it stands a chance. We’ll see.
