Finally received an offer in the mail from my local Ford dealer for a trade-in on the Ranger , what a joke.? Their KBB offer was under by $4000 on the fair condition quote. I understand that everybody is entitled to make some money but this is nuts, almost as bad as that $42000 XL mentioned a couple of days ago. ?.

That is a joke but what are you supposed to trade it in for- my local dealerships have very limited amount of cars on their lots.
We receive these silly trade offers from both Ford and Hyundai. Our Hyundai dealer doesn't even have a Santa Fe in stock.

They almost seem scamy. Like if they mail them to enough people- then somebody will be ill-informed and take that horrible offer.

Same here, nothing on the dealer's lot. They are parking the cars 20 feet apart to fill up the front row.

Did you try the KBB cash offer?
Nope didn’t bother. I’ve noticed the carvana cash offer has been going down, they must have their fill.

I get emails and mail offers from Peoria Ford weekly. The latest one said they were offering me $22K for my Ranger. It would be on their lot the next day for $40K+ but I guess someone out there might eventually take them up on their ridiculous offer.

I used to get those weekly until I got rear ended and had to file a claim, now my Carfax shows a minor accident, so my truck is less desirable now, they stopped sending all that bullshit.

And not only limited … but basic stock items too. As in :

.. no leather really
.. no moon roof
.. no options if you want certain color and all.

it’s bad out here for sure.

The Autonation dealerships I peruse online have a toggle to show what's actually on the lot and it can range from 1 vehicle to like 14. I have noticed some have more than others which is kind of odd. I'm thinking the dealers that sell for MSRP or slightly below are the ones that can't keep the cars on their lots- but that's just speculation.
