That’s pretty slick Brian. Is that from the same supplier @quangdog recommended in his video?

Red line is the only supplier I know of. They had several options for thread color when I ordered mine.

That would be some crazy long travel DH bike, wouldn’t it? For the biggest drops only.

It’s mostly XC for me, so, like @1pt21gw with his sweet Canadian-made ??Cervelo road bikes, I’m a bit of a gram weenie and it’s been painful on the wallet.

Don't buy an e bike then...

Boot installed, gluing it to the plastic frame apparently takes more patience than I have so a few :curse: were uttered, but my dad was a sailor so I have plenty. Comparing the two really shows what garbage the stock one is. New one looks great and is very durable.

I'll have to throw my Tarmac on the scale. I think it might be sub 17 or 18.
My BMC is 20 ish. The R3 is 14.5 and the S5 VWD is 13lbs.

You have to go mechanical and Dura Ace if you want to save weight. Hydraulics and rotors are better riding/control, but you have to lose 5lbs off of YOU!

Okay, Sorry... Let's not talk about our own personal weight, somebody might get offended, Like me. ? Really losing 5-10 lbs of your own weight is easier than $1500 for 1/2 lb on a bike.

I purchased the Ford black chrome exhaust tip and received it yesterday, I had the Magnaflow black tip, but the black coating failed after only three months after install. Magnaflow didn't want to warranty it, so I'm not too happy with them ( photo attached ). The new tip is good quality and installed without any issues. Purchased through Stage 3.

New one looks great. Bummer when a company like Magnaflow won’t stand behind their products .
Your reporting will help people make better choices on where to invest their hard earned money as there are plenty of other exhaust choices out there.

Yeah, I ain't buying no e-bike. If your own peddling can't get you there, then hang 'em up sister!
I used to think like that too, until i rode one. This thing will still max out my hear rate in a ...well...in a heartbeat. You have to maintain high cadence to have any kind of efficiency. The benefit for me is rather than loading mike up to go ride, now I just ride from jhome on some trail netwrks here. And the is one tril network in particular with some ridiclous steep and technical climbing to get to the good stuff. Traditional bike...two maybe 3 laps on a good day. on th e bike-6 or more.

Also-save money on shuttling at bik parks if you're the park type.

I'm all for ebike-as an additional bike. They ca be a lot of fun.

As to "hang'em up sister"...if you're at a point where just can't physically do the things you used to anymore, why not get a bike tht let's you get back out on the trails? I have a couple of friends whose riding days were over until they got an e bike.

Hey Paul,

I hear ya, I am/was a road bike guy, and I ride for the open air through the nose and over the face. The hard tail has helped me to get off the road and enjoy a bit of trail since I broke my collar bone from a group ride, where the guy in front of my freaked out over a car coming out of a driveway. No earbuds or anything like that for me. I am a fair-weather rider and I am still at a point where I can ride with just my own power.

As far as hang em up, I was being a bit sarcastic, as e-bikes around here are popular and people are worse on the road than regular bikes. I have a friend who has a couple of E-bikes in Ventura, CA. Rode one around his neighborhood and It was fun, just not for me. I told him as long as he got out to get healthy and enjoy the outdoors then that was the way for him to do it. I am just not a fan of E-Bikes, life might change that later.

btw, I visit Oahu often for work. I'll have to look into where I can maybe get a ride in without getting in the way of others.

I'm strictly off raod/trails for my e bike, with the exception of riding to the trail. I don't ride as much road as I used to, but I love the all day rides, and I especially love climbing on the road bike. Best climbing day was 15,000 feet. Don't care for it at all an the MTB. Still can't see myself on a road ebike. I don't know Oahu, I'm on Kauai. Feel free to hit me up if your here. And that goes for all here. I'll have a bike to spare.

My Tarmac was just a shade under 17, and my Diverge was 23, But that that's ride ready, loaded with tool kit, tubes, air cartridges.
