Our Santa Fe is great for road trips, but we can't get far off the pavement. Our Ranger gets us to all desired places off-road, but it's not convenient for road trip travel & packing. We went looking for something that can more conveniently do both . . .



Santa traded our 2020 Ranger Lariat SCab in for a new 2026 Toyota 4Runner Off-Road Premium (non-hybrid). Our dealer trucked it in from an out-of-state dealer nearly 250 miles away, for free. Had 7 miles on the odometer. We took delivery two days before Christmas.

R-R, That's a nice looking 4 Runner. This should work out better for you guys and you'll now have the best of both worlds on & off road. Hopefully you'll stick around and I'm betting the 4 Runner site isn't much better than the Tacoma site. lol

2026 is only the second year for 6th gen 4Runners. The forum is a bit slow compared to here.

It is nice looking!! That’s the same model and trim of what I am looking to trade the ranger in for, you’ll have to keep us posted on how you are liking it.

It feels solid and built well with quality. Time will tell. Drives and rides nice on pavement. No off-road ventures yet, need to give it some break-in miles. Front skid plate and several other mods on the way. Level/lift kit and larger tires soon.

We drove around the area here with the Ranger yesterday checking out all the Rec centers we have here. There’s 15 different Rec centers along with 13 heated pools (indoor & outdoor) and spas and 6 workout facilities. One of the centers has a large billiards room with 15 regulation tables and another center has a smaller room with just 2 tables. I use to play all the time and always had a table at home but I haven’t played in years now. Annie’s never played so we spent about 2 hours there showing her how to play and she did pretty good for never even holding a cue before.


From the first time we came here back in June one thing I felling love with was the mountain views from almost anywhere in the city.

I locked my truck after taking off my sweatshirt, hiding my key fob that was laying on the seat, closed the door. could not open the door I thought that wasnt possible ??? had to get the extra fob so I could run my errand......

Do you have a keyless fob (push button start) or a fob with a folding key?

I used to work for AAA. It's very possible that your battery is going bad.

I have the folding key fob. which battery, the fob or truck ?
so far no issues with the truck & the fob battery was replaced earlier this year.............
