Another morning trip to work.
It’s kind of fun with Raptor in the snow and on ice. Still learning to know her. Yesterday I missed my turn because I had too much speed on icy road. ?

Good morning Kristina. The first snow is always a reminder that speed and turns at speed don't mix.

Just drift that corner if you need too.

The snow is here for few weeks now. I guess I was thinking my Raptor is so cool I don’t need to slow down like others :sunglasses: Unbelievable, looks like I was wrong and I’m not so cool at all:oops:

All good as long as you keep it out of the snow bank.

We will get our first good snow later this week.

I didn’t perform much better today but at least my turn was successful at first attempt. Thanks to old pulsating braking method. But tracks in the snow indicated there were more drivers who thought they were as cool as me but had to disappoint.
As a bonus I took my still really cool Raptor to the beach.

The Ranger brought us back home today from a long weekend with family. First time in a few years the 4 of us traveled together and my 2 adult kids survived the 90 minutes to and from the cabin in the back seats. No way we could fit everything we took in the Edge and I gave the kids the choice of driving seperately or riding in the back. Super cabs are fine for adults in the back for a limited amount of time and the 6 ft bed was needed for all that was packed.
We went to leave today and mom and dad's Subaru wouldn't start. Of course I pulled most of the gear including jumper cables out of the back of the Ranger. Tried the Noco GB20 jump pack and got a short crank out of the Subi but the battery was real dead. We found a neighbor with a quick charger and the battery showed 4V. Charged for about 5 minutes, got it running and off we went.
Awesome weekend but glad to be home.
Although a bit crowded, at least the 5g SCab's back seats are worlds ? above the old jump seats I had in the 2011 Ranger :like:

carried another load of broken concrete (yesterday)this is second one in a couple weeks from 2 different clients, funny is it was the same weight, 1300 lbs on the dump scale. Factor in myself and my onboard gear, pretty close to 1700 lbs total on the truck. After years in an 86 nissan 720/ Wow the Ranger sure handles the weight no problem. My old truck which had upgraded shocks would have been sinking hard and driving weird with that much weight. While i only went a few miles and no freeway, it was far enough/ up a steep driveway and across town i can tell the weight is on there but Wow it sure does carry it easily. Very Impressed. In the year ive had it I regularly take the truck on 900 mile round trip with about 500lbs gear and it does very well, but i had not tried a real heavy load until now.

These Rangers are great haulers. My nephew and I hauled 2 loads of flagstone for 10 miles and the truck did it easily without straining. This load is 1200 lbs...

Code Orange is really nice!, but Saber has even more magic...? ?
Oh, you’re just jealous!

I remember long ago Ford put one Saber Ranger out as a demonstration truck and I saw it every day twice - going to work and leaving work. Every time I stared it and how beautiful it was. Saber color made it even more desirable. I had no idea that it was my future vehicle I was staring. There will be no Saber for me, I got overdosed just by staring it, but I still love it.

That flagstone looks WAY heavier than that. When I saw that stack of stone, I couldn’t understand why your truck wasn’t squatting on the ground.

My neighbour in AZ did their back courtyard in flagstone - 600 sq ft maybe - it looked amazing. I had it on my fire pit ledge and BBQ/Bar area - loved it!

What’s the project Paul?

My nephew Josh built a backyard patio for me before he passed...did its outward shape in an abstract form with stepping stones leading into it from the front of my house:
