Yep, it’s that time Steve. I’m seeing this task played out all over rural Ontario at the moment - trucks hauling snow blowers and snow machines to get serviced for the winter. ?
Figured I'd get it done as it feels like an early winter is coming.

Copy that - we’re spending the last week at the cottage on the shores of Lake Huron before closing it up for the winter and it’s 4°C (39°F). The wind is howling and the breakers coming in make it look like the Oregon coast. Definitely feels like early winter here too.

You’re so prepared, you’ll likely be that great neighbour who gets so eager to use his snow blower for the first time, the whole block gets cleared!

Stay warm if you can.

Yeah, that's the blower for our place in McCall which is a must for the 138" avg snowfall where we've been in the 20's a couple times already. Should get snow next week.
Down here in the flatlands we only get a couple feet of snow over the winter so I have a piece of crap blower.

Plenty of gear to stay warm.

Got pulled doing 71 in a 45. Probably a good wake up call to not drive like an idiot. Thankfully he let me off. In the UK, where I'm from, this would be a big fine + increased insurance costs due to points on licence. Maybe even a 3 month ban if the judge had a hangover. God bless America!

Glad to see you were let off with a warning. Some States here will give you a large fine for reckless driving and depending on how fast you were going make you take a defensive driving class.?:stop:

I'm usually a very tame driver but sometimes you just find yourself laying into it more than you should. It's so easy (and fun) to do with this turbo. Especially when you're on the highway and already at 70 it doesn't take much to reach triple digits. ??

HI Folks,

Now that I can drive again after being grounded...We cranked up the Ranger for a trip to Nogales to deliver a tortoise necklace I made for our favorite server at Tito's in Nogales. Turns out she went home sick so a swing and a miss for the 3rd time.... Sigh... Pizza was undercooked and not very good...may be the last time we head down there... Restaurant appears to be in decline...drat!

Christina specced out Mother of Pearl for her tortoise....

I've been looking for reasons to drive the Ranger now that I'm not going to the office any more. Went to the hardware store and while on the way got the change oil soon warning. Stopped at home to drop off the ladder I picked up, loaded up the used oil and made a run to FLAPS for fresh oil and a filter. An oil change tomorrow will give me reason to take a test drive. Though seeing gas prices for the first time in a couple weeks, may be a short trip. :curse:

This was actually yesterday, but the Ranger took me into town so I could switch over the auto insurance on the Ranger and the lovely wife's Escape, but the office was closed for some reason.

The trip wasn't a total waste, I stopped by the bank to get some spending money. I couldn't bring myself to park in the bank's parking lot, lol. I need my space.

I'm getting this alert the past couple time I've cranked up the truck. Does Ford recommend changing the oil once a year, regardless of miles driven? I've had the truck for 13 months and it clicked over 2 K in early October.

if you’re in the ATL area, a lot of businesses closed in the afternoon because of the Braves parade and the anticipated traffic snafu that was going to cause.

Hey Scott,

My dealer told me the truck would tell me when it needed it’s first oil change. I was impatient and didn’t wait until I got a warning but it looks like your truck is doing just what my dealer said it would. Turns out my truck is smarter than me. ?

I also noticed somewhere in the various menu screens for the centre dash of my XLT, there is one for % Oil Life - I won’t even pretend to understand how our trucks figure that out but I bet if you find that screen, the number is fairly low.

The good news is, you have another excuse to take your Scab out for a spin.

Haha nice! What’s the T-Shirt say!?
Well, “THE KOOL DAMPER KLUB” was already taken and they‘re not very cool and it’s more of a cult than a club, so I went with, ”Trucks don’t wear skirts!”
