What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

The wind ended up howling like a banshee over the night the other day and brought a bit of rain. The fog never really let up in the morning, so we never got the great view the campsite was known for. We made our way back down the mountain and made our way to the fabled Nemo Tunnel in Tennessee. Six hours later we arrived at sunset, made the tunnel drive at night(not like it matters anyways), and camped out next to the Emory River by the tunnel. The next morning(yesterday) we explored a bit of the tunnel area and made the drive to Charlie’s Creek in Georgia. That was a cool experience and worth the cool trip through the trail.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and we made it back home. Total of 2,513 miles were added to the odometer. Did take advantage of the side trail next to the Nemo Tunnel to engage 4Lo and the rear locker. Slick rocks and mud could not stop the mighty Ranger. Even managed to tuck the rear tire pretty good. Who needs a Bronco?!

There is a contingent of Florida Ranger folks coming up this way for Windrock and other area trails and I'm going up from the ATL area Monday with some of the Georgia Ranger group to meet them for Nemo. Too bad we didn't get our visits lined up!

Ahh, that would’ve been a good time. Since I planned this trip around the Overland Expo, it didn’t leave me much wiggle room. It’s all good, won’t be my last time going up that way. Found so many cool camping spots that I’m ready to pack my truck again.

Yesterday I got the windows tinted and today I waxed it.

Took dog to the park and then to play tennis (i went to play tennis not the dog)

630 mile road trip back from Vegas.

Went out on some trails in the Verde Valley, here's a picture from 6000 ft. The FFP did great on the trails, huge improvement, the wife was happy!
