I think that “other issue” is hopeless!I think it adds to an already great reputation. Now, if we could just work on that other issue……?

Tell the truth, it rained a lot there last week didn't it?Yeah, it does look good. Hope it doesn’t ruin my reputation! Don‘t want folks to expect too much!
My secret is out!?Tell the truth, it rained a lot there last week didn't it?
As always….great pics!Currently sitting at a dispersed campsite in George Washington National Forest. Amazing view to be had before the sun went down. Hope the fog lifts before sunrise.
KJ, I'm tired just looking at the load of topsoil. You're living proof the damper doesn't wither you down to a frail old man. ?Well the Ranger wasn't worn out after moving my daughter Saturday and neither was I, so I put him to work again today. Went to the range with my dad, then picked up mom and went to lunch. Got back home for a 30 minute nap to recharge and then the real work began.
Put on a temporary mini Carolina squat.
A cubic yard of topsoil will do that.
Shoveled all that out, spread it, and planted grass seed. Glad the tailgate comes off but that damn damper was a pain to remove.
Too tired and dark to wash it out and put the tailgate back on so that's tomorrows project.
Guess my muscles didn't atrophy too much from having a damper though I will be sore tomorrow. Time for another pain reliever...
Next up, a cubic yard of rock. May wait a day or two until the soreness wears off.
Ya know Dave, @AzScorpion, I think sitting at a computer all day (my job) will do much worse than a damper would. I've been so busy on home projects this summer that I haven't been on the forum much. As soon as I'm done working for a paycheck I'm working on home projects and I'm feeling pretty good! Getting on here a little more often now that its getting dark sooner. I'm hoping I can keep this momentum up on projects through the winter as that is always the hardest time for me to keep active here in Ohio.KJ, I'm tired just looking at the load of topsoil. It's been good to see you back on lately and don't worry, we'll leave the light on for ya. ?Ya know Dave, @AzScorpion, I think sitting at a computer all day (my job) will do much worse than a damper would. Not a big fan of yardwork so I make it as low maintenance as possible including rocks instead of mulch. More time to play that way. It's been good to see you back on lately and don't worry, we'll leave the light on for ya. ?
I remember those days all to well living back in MA. The long days working and the shorter days of fall meant less time getting stuff down around the outside unless I did it at night with the spotlights on. One good thing out here is most yards are desert landscaping which is basically a boring rock yard but it's no maintenance.

Still didn't clean the Ranger or put the tailgate back on but I did finish planting the grass seed and got it all watered. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. I'll probably be the only new Ranger on the highway tomorrow without a tailgate.
There is a contingent of Florida Ranger folks coming up this way for Windrock and other area trails and I'm going up from the ATL area Monday with some of the Georgia Ranger group to meet them for Nemo. Too bad we didn't get our visits lined up!The wind ended up howling like a banshee over the night the other day and brought a bit of rain. The fog never really let up in the morning, so we never got the great view the campsite was known for. We made our way back down the mountain and made our way to the fabled Nemo Tunnel in Tennessee. Six hours later we arrived at sunset, made the tunnel drive at night(not like it matters anyways), and camped out next to the Emory River by the tunnel. The next morning(yesterday) we explored a bit of the tunnel area and made the drive to Charlie’s Creek in Georgia. That was a cool experience and worth the cool trip through the trail.
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and we made it back home. Total of 2,513 miles were added to the odometer. Did take advantage of the side trail next to the Nemo Tunnel to engage 4Lo and the rear locker. Slick rocks and mud could not stop the mighty Ranger. Even managed to tuck the rear tire pretty good. Who needs a Bronco?!
