Went out to lunch with it to celebrate my gf being able to stay here permanently working from home. She just got back in late last night from Chicago as she had to go back and clean out her desk since no ones been in the office since March os 2020. One of these days I'll learn not to stuff myself with the unlimited chips and salsa before eating. ?

I washed and waxed my truck this morning, but just before supper I saw a local Facebook post about some free firewood. 40 minutes later it was in the back of the Ranger. I forgot to take a picture until it was back in the garage. (Avoiding pine pollen). We will unload it tomorrow morning.

Driving home after picking up the wood, there was zero effect on how the Ranger drove. I was thinking though a backrack would be handy if I had an emergency stop.

Another driving lesson for the daughter. Night driving in mixed suburban environment plus a little freeway time.

Sitting with a nice DIPA now, local brew, Weldwerks Brewing Anvanced Fluid Dynamics. Seems to be doing the trick.

I drove the Ranger from Georgia to New Jersey yesterday. It was exhausting! But it's good to be seeing family. And I have a great view!

Be glad you left when you did. I drove south bound I95 the day before. Stopped at the GA welcome center, nice trip so far.
Then the rain dumps started coming and there's the sign stretching across the highway. "Accident marker 88. All lanes blocked"
Long story short, I came to a halt at exit 93, and barely crawled for the next 2 hours with continuing rain downpours. Fun times.
Good news is the Ranger had no cooling issues even with ac on, drank a bit of fuel but not bad, and I made it to destination safely. This was my first long journey in the truck. Trip average 22.3mpg.

On my return trip I got into some weather in SC. I actually used my snorkel on a flooded portion of interstate. The car ahead of me swerved right to avoid the deep water, causing the tractor trailer to my right to swerve left into my path, forcing me onto the shoulder where the water was DEEP!

I was interested in how many face cords of wood would fit in a Supercrew bed and the and the answer depends on how long your logs are. If your logs are 16” long, then one face cord will fit in the bed.
