thank you. So both front and rear crash bars are removed?
Yes correct. There are those that don’t keep them. I guess Jeeps have them and users pull them. I realize that the consensus ‘round here is to keep them, for the safety concern.
But many vehicles don’t have front or rear protection in that area anyhow…
The Readylift crash bars look the best but they still take up room.

Test fit with them, look it over and go from there!

Had some time before work today so I got the tires mounted on the wheels. I paid for a new set of TPMS so I can keep my OEM tire/wheel setup as a spare.

These wheels have a -12 offset so I know the front crash bar needs to be removed. Does anyone else have recommendations on what else needs to be trimming in order to fit? Does the rear crash bar need to come out too?

The tires are 33x10.50 and I current have the front lifted about 2.7” (6th position) with the Bilstein 6112.

Took it to the car wash. As much as I hate to use commercial washes, I just couldn't look at all the salt any longer. Looks like that underbody wash on a 14 degree day might not have been the best choice. My perimeter alarm is on all the time now. Thaw is coming this weekend, cant be soon enough.

At least the salt is gone for now. BTW i still like looking at it even coming up on 5 years.

You know it is love and not lust at that point.

Those wheels are sick! Should look good with the silver truck.

Been thinking of a similar, polished look. Don't see it as often as black or chrome.

Gracias. I think this ARB bumper is one of the cleaner options out there. Just wish they set it up for proximity sensors and ACC.

They're pretty reasonably priced at $450ish these days.
Been a fan of most of their bumpers, seems like you can only get ACC/Parking sensor provisions on the more expensive ones though.

Also, howdy neighbor!

Hey there! I think some of the ranger guys on Facebook in SLC are planning a little meetup at little Moab sometime in the next week or so if you're interested.

Yeah the 7000TL. I like them a lot. I use my workshop for a lot of things so not having perm 2 post is nice. And with the truck lift things its a solid close to 2ft of space under the truck. I was sitting up right under the truck doing the transfer case fluid change the other month.

Overall I've been using them for a year and really like them. Makes working on the truck and our car just easy.
Got a set myself. I think mine are the 5000 though.

I have the 7000SLX Ouick Jack. I ordered it with the "truck adapter kit" the "pinch weld blocks" & the "low profile blocks". The Quick Jack is incredibly handy. I can't bring myself to allow any of the people that work as lube & tire techs get anywhere close to my vehicles, so these make it nice for the DYI guys.

Yeah same... I have some deep trust issues with most mechanics/dealers/etc...

The fact i discovered in this that the dealership never did the alignment I paid for is just further cementing that (they claimed they lost the printout of the alignment but it was done)... just to find... nope... they just never did it. (which I am truly assuming was a mistake/oversight rather than malice.)

yeah the 5000 is more than enough for most of cars.

Also awesome R32, LOVE that generation. I had a 2008 of the next gen and was one of my favorite cars ever. Hard to find a MK4 R32 these days in any kind of OK shape.
