  1. Colorado Alpha III concepts Transmission Dip Stick

Hey guys, I forgot I ordered this after losing it in a move shortly after getting it... well today I found it in a box! Not sure Alpha III is around anymore. I have a MBS stick in my truck as of last year so I dont need this. This has roughly the same form and fitment as the MBS stick...
  2. Small rear ending of the truck = $8k in repairs

Yeah I hope they do. I've been under the truck a lot since the crash replacing leaf springs, and a number of other projects. From what I could see its just the bumper mount that crumpled a bit and not even by much.
  3. Small rear ending of the truck = $8k in repairs

On a hit then doesn't the extremely rigid hitch just bend the frame on a solid enough it?
  4. Small rear ending of the truck = $8k in repairs

thats wild! Thats absolutely wild - I guess crumple zones are there for a reason and energy absorbing structures under the bumper... but wow.
  5. Warning Chimes Changing Sounds

HA mine does that now and then, and we just shrug it off as the truck being a bit weird that day. (The battery was replaced before we bought the truck according to the CarFax so likely not a low battery issue for mine)
  6. Finally tried out a 2024 Ranger

That was the tune I had!
  7. Finally tried out a 2024 Ranger

Yeah the trans on the edge sucked. I wish it came with an 8 speed ZF box back then. So you are probably right
  8. Small rear ending of the truck = $8k in repairs

Yup, this shop is what my insurance sent me to (and is highly regarded, and 5 blocks from my house) so this is all good... I am going to pay nothing on this. Just amazing what the estimate is!
  9. Small rear ending of the truck = $8k in repairs

If you are replacing the BLIS unit they are I think For just the lens I think they are $700 OEM But I could be wrong
  10. Small rear ending of the truck = $8k in repairs

Crack on one side, and the light you can see clearly to the right in the picture has a chunk out of the corner.
  11. Small rear ending of the truck = $8k in repairs

And to be fair, I havent talked to the place yet, I just got this in email. I am curious if they found something under there more messed up than it seems that jacked the price up. But a damn steel bumper cant cost 4-5K.
  12. Finally tried out a 2024 Ranger

the 2.7L can do 400/400 with a pretty safe tune on 93 Octane
  13. Finally tried out a 2024 Ranger

I came from a Edge Sport with the 2.7L and tuned it... its a great engine, but at the same time not as exciting as one would expect from its claims. Even tuned its powerful once it gets on song, but overall its just a good engine. I am surprised endlessly at how potent the 2.3L 4 banger is...
  14. Small rear ending of the truck = $8k in repairs

Just before Xmas the rear end of my truck was tagged by some contractor truck not watching the lights... it was a relatively light hit, but still not awesome. This is the damage: This is the repair estimate. now both tail lights were damaged, so I know thats like $1500+ right there...
  15. What did you do to your Ranger today?

yeah the 5000 is more than enough for most of cars. Also awesome R32, LOVE that generation. I had a 2008 of the next gen and was one of my favorite cars ever. Hard to find a MK4 R32 these days in any kind of OK shape.
  16. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Yeah same... I have some deep trust issues with most mechanics/dealers/etc... The fact i discovered in this that the dealership never did the alignment I paid for is just further cementing that (they claimed they lost the printout of the alignment but it was done)... just to find... nope...
  17. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Trans fluid flushed (just 1x, I have enough fluid to do it again and may in a day or so).. the MBS trans dipstick/Tube is next level good for doing this!! Used a vacuum extractor to get 5L out in about 7 minutes. Also swapped the plugs, but that wasn't needed it turns out for 40K miles...
  18. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Yeah, standard 3/8" high pressure fuel line.
  19. What did you do to your Ranger today?

So far today: Finished the front alignment on the truck, and replaced the fan clutch hose! The hose that was there, (its a 2019 and I was curious based on some service history if it was replaced already)... fell apart in my hands. All I did was put some light pressure on the engine side...
  20. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Yeah the 7000TL. I like them a lot. I use my workshop for a lot of things so not having perm 2 post is nice. And with the truck lift things its a solid close to 2ft of space under the truck. I was sitting up right under the truck doing the transfer case fluid change the other month...
