That is awesome. Yea I got them marlin 795 kinda wish I had gone with a 10/22. My oldest is 10 youngest is 9.
Marlins are good rifles. While the 795 is basically a Remington 975 it's one of the few introduced under Remington ownership I like. So glad Ruger bought them, Remington, currently, is has a lot of problems IMHO.

I would've gladly picked up a model 60 Marlin for my eldest if it weren't for her birthday. Kinda had to, given her birthday is Oct 22nd.

Most important is that we teach our daughters to defend themselves. Long gun or pistol.

I've yet to research the laws and the time has come and gone for my eldest, but I've always said they'll be open carrying their first date.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm off the next couple of days. Maybe I'll get the girls out to the range.

I *finally* mounted my RTT.

Then promptly built a storage rack and took it off.

I know I lose 'Overland Street Cred' by not running my tent 24/7/365, but I don't want it to get weather worn or stolen, so... stored above the truck when not in use.

Had the day off so time for an oil change and install of the Wolfhaus 12v Bed Outlet. I see myself having to change out the 12v male end on the Iceco fridge, because I worry that it’ll wiggle itself loose with even mild off-roading.

Your gas will go farther and the truck will ride better for sure too.

Finished hidden winch install and replaced tow hooks with d-ring shackles. Running a Superwinch SX10SR (10k lbs w/ synthetic rope) mounted in 589Fab hidden winch mount. I ended up getting a remote wiring kit from folks over at Vice Design (super helpful in working with me on the exact setup).

I still need to finish ACC relocation, but the kit I received from Cali Raised was some weird botched bracket that was clearly fabricated wrong. Waiting to hear back from them on a replacement. Guess I am driving without ACC for a while.

Tedious job that took me few days to complete.

Forgot to mention I also changed out the cabin air filter with an Ecoguard. Factory filter was pretty dirty as you can see, but not as bad as I expected.

Played around with some vinyl film and wrapped the wing portion of the tailgate like on the Roush trucks.

I thought the black appearance package were black around the edges. Those look like my OEM vents.

Ahhh, it’s either black or sports pack. Yes they are OME my originals where chrome trimmed these are magnetic.

After getting my Hellwig sway bar in the mail on 4 March, the weather was finally warm enough to get it installed which took about 2.5 hrs. I ended up grinding a little off the end of the threaded blocks that go into the shock mount bracket. The passenger side was still tight, and the driver's side just dropped in. Took it for a short drive and it definitely handles better in the curves--much flatter and feels drastically firmer (vs loosey-goosey and bouncy). I have it set on the middle hole. The drivers side mount can only be moved so far forward and the angle of the sway bar link is not even close to being perfectly vertical....the passenger side is fine.

@Glocker @DukeCanBuildit @Msfitoy

Started another project on the ranger bucket list. My agency was trashing a lot of very old equipment this past weekend. The base of this mount I believe was for a charger so obviously the shape wasn't just right I had to cut one end off so I could at least align the first seat Mount point and I'll rig up a small piece of steel for the second base mount. Luckily I already had the slightly longer bolts that fit the factory threading so that part was simple.

Once I confirm with the final mock up everything's going to work all the parts will get torn down deep cleaned and refinished.

I've had almost brand new Panasonic toughbook sitting in my truck waiting for this project. Once I installed a solid state drive in it this thing runs like a top.

My Mobile battle/command station is one step closer gentleman.
