What did you do to your Ranger today?

I got my ranger dirty in Anza Borrego with five others.

That looks like a great outing - that ‘02(?) is pretty cool - one of a kind topper/RTT - and you seem to have representation from all tastes - soft topper, Scabs, a full size, a dirt bike, and it looks like @dondonbabyraptor came along for the fun. Nice.

I do use Android Auto. I even bought the AAWireless to enable wireless functionality. I just dislike Google Maps. It has frequently taken me to the wrong place, and will make stupid adjustments like taking me on unnamed dirt roads because it thinks it saves time. (That's how I got a Ford Fusion stuck in a ditch one time. Super loose and wet gravel aren't my friend.) I decided I preferred a device with dedicated functionality that I could program to avoid things like dirt county roads and to not reroute me to "save time".

I prefer Waze over Google Maps. But, for Waze to be good an an area requires good local volunteers updating the maps.

I did a ton to my truck this weekend, starting with a full Decontamination, Clay Bar, Scratch & Swirl remover, Hand Polished, Graphene Ceramic Prep and Coating applied.

After 6-8 hours of doing all this today, I installed my 5-Star 87 Daily tune, along with some interior stuff:

Lastly, I cleaned up my garage and installed my Adam's Polishes Air Cannon Wall Mount, so I could get this thing off the floor!

It took me roughly 2 days to get the truck ready for the Graphene Ceramic Coating, but it was worth it! I wish yall could see this truck in person!

WeatherTech Bug / Rock deflector. Love adding more black accents on the Cactus Green, really nice contrast IMO. Will show the RANGER inserts for the tailgate next, they look really sweet.

Well, I got 6 tunes, but 87 daily will be used mostly. It differently shifted better on the way to work this morning! That was a big complaint I had with the truck...

Did my first ever FORScan mods today!
Turned off ASS, double honk and fake engine noise.
Turned on Bambi mode.
Switched to Ford Performance splash screen.
Did the ABS Bleed procedure. I feel a small but definite difference in the brake pedal.

And in my most macho act in a long time - installed a tailgate damper.

I checked my catch can today and found this after 1000 miles . I have been using the remote start and letting it warm up for 15 minutes during all this cold weather lately . Was a bit less than 1 ounce of crud it the can so I started a bottle to keep track of it and put a line on the bottle with the mileage . I also wrote the current mileage on the catch can as a reminder . If I had not been on this forum I wouldn't have even known what a catch can was so luckily I had spotted that the previous owner had install one . I wonder how many used ones are sold and the new owner doesn't know to drain it ?

And while not solely for the Ranger , I also finally got around to installing my slatwall panels on the rear wall of my garage that I built in 2020 . Almost all insulated and trimmed out now . I had put it on hold while prices got out of control and even though crap is still high , I needed to get it finished so I can put the doors on .

Rerouted side marker wiring to vents and put in some lights. My original side markers are signal lights now.
