Detailed buddies Accord. Took out a ton of surface scratches. Also looked at the ranger under the street light at night and saw a ton of swirls… might be doing paint correction with the buffer next detail time around.

A "Graphic Artist" with no graphics? ;)
A very astute observation. I like it!

I have been on the commercial, technical end of graphic arts for many years. Perhaps I am a little jaded and yearn for simpler times.

I know there is a “what did you get” thread but I figured we could start a what did you do to your Ranger today thread because I have enjoyed them on other forums...

so I’ll start off with this...

I got some metallic gray vinyl off amazon to try and match the factory Magnetic gray so I could wrap some pieces on the interior. So for a little test I did the door trim below the window switches to see how i like it. I’m happy with how it turned out, it’s not a perfect match (little light) but I think it looks good and breaks up all the black on the door.

What do you guys think?

Looks good mate! Interestingly you have the door lock buttons next to the latch in the US model, in my Aus one they are on the dash centre console. Door otherwise looks identical.

Man- you’re just playing with me now. ? it looks so damn good.
Install isn't bad at all, Frank with @Stage3Motorsports hooked me up with a small discount and we had a brief chat on the phone earlier this evening. If you're in the greater Denver area, I'll happily help you install.

Painted up the brackets for the tailgate damper. Not perfect, good enough for the girls I go with. This was also a test run to see how close the new paint is to the factory paint, before I paint the tailgate handle and rear emblem surround. It’s tricky because I am a little colour blind.

After many weeks waiting on parts, I finally got the truck lifted. 3" in the front 1" in the back, although the front is sitting a little high atm. I figure it'll settle a bit.

I took it to the dealer to have them check and see if my truck had a tune on it since I found a Ford programmer under the back seat when I bought it used. No tune and they can’t (or won’t) reprogram the speedo and odometer for my increase in tire size to 265 70 17’s. I know it’s roughly one mph but if they could have it would have been nice.

Of course..while I was waiting I found out the dealer can order and install a ReadyLift 2” leveling kit. Pulled the trigger on that purchase.

I cut and mounted some window screen material in front of the multiple radiators on my Ranger. Reason: I drove 50 miles round trip and checked the radiators. Multiple bugs..Not good for long term driving in the West..Home State of Montana has a grasshopper infestation that would plug the cores in 5 minutes of driving. Popped the plastic cover above the radiators, measured the space, bought $8 worth of aluminum screen and installed same. Now, if I hit a swarm of bugs, I can pull the screens, clean them, and reinstall. A lot easier than having the local garage use high pressure water, air that would probably damage the fins and make a bad situation worse.

This week my dealer also told me they were unable to recalibrate the speedometer for my new tire size, same as yours, and that I would have to buy an aftermarket tool to do that.
I downloaded Waze app to see how much off my speedometer is, and found that 67mph on speedometer is actually 70mph. 46mph on speedo is actually 48mph.
That will do for me til I get a tune and can change it that way.
