I just connected a year and a half later hoping for an update, and KB3G-FPREA3-AAR.bin is still the latest tune version. Is this right, there haven't been any updates?
That’s what mine is as well. It did not update when I connected it to the computer. I tried twice. I have updated previously so I know how.

Man........glad I am still sub'ed to this thread. For sh!ts and giggles I decided to throw my Pro Cal on after reading all the recent chatter. I see my SW file listed as KB3G-14C204-AAL. Seems to me I have been running around with the stock tune still. All the ones I see mentioned on this thread and others has "FPR" listed in the file. :curse:

I had my local dealer do my install in July '22; along with the FP Fox leveling kit, Ranger Raptor wheels w/ new set of K02 shoes. Not to mention putting on full front and side paint protection film and had them tint the windows. I spent a pretty penny all in one go. Never really thought to check the file...just messed around to get my larger tires dialed in and put the Pro Cal in a drawer.

Really annoyed seeing how much money I spent with them and not to mention kicking myself for not checking sooner. I can't even DL the software and tune file to do myself.....since they registered it for me etc. I know they will make it right and fix it for me but still!

All that bragging I did about hauling my boat over two mountain passes and how the Ranger did fine with it's new tune....? I guess it was really just the little stock engine that could.

Well get ready for more power and a major drop in MPG! ?

I could never go back to stock tune, but the MPG is painful...

If that is the worst thing that has happened with your Ranger, I would say you are doing good.:like:

I have been driving turbo 4cyl vehicles continuously as my daily drivers for over 35 years. Once I got over the novelty of the extra power I got the same or more gas mileage. The Ranger with the FP tune got the same mileage. I am now running an Unleashed 87 Octane Performance tune and I picked up about .5 mpg.

I guess I'll never get over the "novelty" of it , especially when there's a Tacoma involved ??

True and it's a quick easy 15min fix. Silver lining I guess but jeez man....let me have my time to shine in the complaining pulpit! ?

On a serious note, the shop I took it too is the stand alone performance shop owned by my local Ford dealer. Very well known and highly regarded for their work and projects. It was obviously an unknown mistake. They even took the time to remove trim and neatly run the cable from the OBD2 port to install the Pro Cal above the dash (which I reversed a few days later). Someone forgot or the flash didn't take. I know they weren't trying to pull a fast one.

I was just more annoyed after my discovery yesterday. I've put less than 1000 miles on my truck since having the work done. So I havent missed too much fun except for a bruised ego ?

That placebo effect is one helluva drug.

This is from today, it did update again. This time, I actually reflashed the truck.
FWIW, day before yesterday I plugged in my ProCal to see if anything had changed. The ProCal software on my PC updated, then it updated the firmware on the ProCal device but no update to the actual tune file.

I have been running an Unleashed tune for almost a year and have not touched the ProCal, so there has been no updates to the tune file in almost a year.

I was inable to get new version and gave up after numerous back and forth with FP techs. I did reload the original v1.388 FP tune tho after going back to stock when gad prices spiked. I'm still enjoying the tune just not the 93 octane prices. Commuting 80 miles each day I average 25.6 mpg so overall not bad. No hills mostly highway speeds flatlander.

I can only imagine the trouble you had getting a new/updated tune file. After my posts on the previous page, I finally got my truck flashed last week.

What myself and the shop thought would be a quick 15 min visit....It took the Ford techs several days to get the tune from them! FP wasn't budging for whatever reason arguing that my voucher had already been activated but it wouldn't work for the techs to pull down the file. I was standing there listening to some of the conversations  The tech kept pushing and got some one reasonable. They ended up providing a new voucher code. Straight up ridiculous.

I highly doubt anything would go wrong - I've never had a well known canned tune doing anything to a vehicle. It does makes me wonder after all that..... if you have to "deal" with their warranty and what a nightmare that could possibly be.
