Unscheduled Lariat 2022 orders LED headlight delete - is $500 credit enough?

Yep. Lariat, SC, Tremor, trailer tow, the CORRECT color (blue )

I got the right color blue, but, because I wanted the SCab, I couldn't get it with the Tremor package. I did get the FX-4 though. I got the SCab and used my amassed Ford Rewards points to purchase the Tremor Suspension and put it on mine. But, since Ford enjoys screwing the customer so much these days, my LEDs were all deleted from the build. Headlights and fog lights.

Gotta say also that I am not a fan of these Hankook tires...

If you check Ford Motorcraft Services - Website, you can view your As-Built Data, it will be available to view and download not long after you receive - Truck Is Built.
You want to see option #2 - For Led's

In my research of dealer lot vs my as ordered, I did find some window stickers like yours that did not list LEDs in the upper portion, they ended up having Halo's but found others like yours that had LEDs, so it's still a coin toss. The As-Built data files will tell for sure.

As to hancooks. Not a fan either.

I much prefer the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A's. Problem is, they're on back-order everywhere...

Me too. Just got my build date of January 30th. Lariat Tremor. If it doesn't have LED headlights I'm walking away. It's a 100% deal breaker.

Yeah I’ve been waiting too see the modules pop up. But yeah it’s my understanding pretty much none of the stock orders got them. But the ones I saw did show the credit.

I suppose that could be a possibility, but there’s no removal credit listed either, like there is for the hotspot.

I visited the Ford website again as if I were going to order a new 2023. In the build, it INCLUDES the LEDs for the Lariats still. I took to FB and sent the following message to Ford,

" WTH Ford?! Your site for ordering the 2023 Ranger Lariat still includes the LED headlights and fog lights in the build and yet you deleted them from my 2022 order??? What's up with that? Are you just "randomly" selecting which trucks get them and which don't? And when did you delete the engine cover from the off-road series Rangers? My FX-4 didn't have one on it!

I posted the same message multiple times (as I have done in the past) and finally got someone in their "social media" or "Ford Service Team" to respond. It was only the standard non-committal type of message regarding documenting my concerns for future feedback, blah, blah, blah... Nothing of any substance.

Contemplating installing the Morimoto headlights since Ford will NEVER do the right thing....

I picked up my 2022 Lariat last week and was another of the unfortunate ones to get the halogen headlights. My vehicle's production date was Oct. 11, 2022.

The $625 CAD credit doesn't cut it!

My local dealer quoted $2,800 per side for OEM LED headlights but said they wouldn't work as my Lariat isn't plug-and-play to accommodate the swap. They suggested aftermarket assemblies at $1,200 per set (plus labour), which I'm considering.

Has anyone had luck with the HIKARI HyperStar LED headlight bulbs? I have watched a few YouTube videos and they appear promising. Obviously, the cheaper route to go for decent projection while driving at night.

I have a Lariat w/ LEDs and they are the best stock headlights on any vehicle I have bought. We have a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Limited with LEDs which are very nice. The Ranger LEDs are brighter. All my other vehicles have been halogen, which can't even compare.

The LED headlights are one of a few reasons I opted for a Lariat trim, probably the number one reason).

I have zero issues waiting. I have a 2022 Bronco and have a second one on order. If I decide not to get the other Bronco I guess I'll just place an order for a 2024 Ranger. No worry about getting LED headlights with that.

yes, it'll be the 2025s that get decontented. maybe a credit for a hand crank to replace the starter or something.
