What is an accurate timeline for new orders?

I'm on week 28 from my order date, with 4 rescheduled build dates and I fully expect the 5th one this afternoon. I ordered an XLT FX4 301A with towing, nothing fancy. Maybe I'll get it for Christmas.

Can someone tell me what "accepted" means? I ordered a '23 on 8/24 and received an email from Ford the next day saying my order has been "confirmed". I'm assuming "confirmed" and "accepted" are not the same thing. Thanks.

"Accepted" is not an official FoMoCo term. "Confirmed" is the terminology used in the first email you receive from FoMoCo (not the dealer). So I'm assuming that they mean the same thing in this context.

I've been searching and trying to figure out how many rangers get built a day. I'm just trying to reconcile previous timelines for the last couple years to where we are now with hopefully less COVID restrictions.

I found this page that breaks down month by month.

Looking at those numbers it appears more people wanted rangers, or more were available for purchase, for the previous years than for 2021.

Maybe nothing can be deduced from those numbers, but I thought they were interesting.

I got my Hope's up since I didn't get a notice from Ford with another build date delay for the past two weeks. Should be a good sign, right? Well, that all ended today, another delay, but this time the email said they really couldn't tell me when my order will be scheduled, but they will keep me updated every 45 days.

Ordered 2/27 XLT FX4, 301A with towing
Order accepted 2/28
Built date 8/8
Built date delay 8/8, 8/15, 8/22
No idea when it will get built email 9/8

Actually dealer/myself bit surprised, dealer stated prior to ordering 3-5 months, received a VIN and build week window/components gathered within 10 days of ordering, a FX4 and Tremor (both White/Lariat trim level) ordered 1-2 months prior to mine were constantly delayed, actually both those showed up about 6 weeks after mine on same transporter. Never know what options/components causing delay.
