That is a hood option.
I ended up going with an Lariat FX4 and upgraded to the Fox tuned suspension. This allowed me to use the stock 18 inch wheels and went with a 33 inch tire (265/70/18) no mods or cutting.
My tires measured 33.3 inches and I had just Fox 2.0 set up to max height in the front and I need some trimming. I'm researching about other options for a 3.5 lift.

For guys who have experience with the FX4 and the Tremor, is the Tremor's suspension noticeably better on pavement and/or off-road? In terms of what they put into the Tremor's suspension, it should run a lot smoother, but I would love to hear some "real-life" testimony from members with experience, which means a lot more to me than all the reviews I have read. It is nice to know that the reviewers mostly love the Tremor's suspension upgrades, however!

I only test drove an FX4 and Tremor on-road prior to purchasing the Tremor. Even my wife felt the Tremor drove smoother more plush on the street vs the FX4....meaning FX4 felt a little stiffer. Not that either is bad.

In the limited off-road I have done though, I love how the Tremor does. Youtube reviews basically seem on point. I came from a lifted Honda Pilot though so anything would have been an off road upgrade.

I think there are one or two guys in here that traded in FX4 for Tremors that hopefully can chime in.

Tremor is a more comfy ride and better pkg than an fx4 if you are willing to pay the extra $ for it.

Thanks so much! I am definitely leaning toward the Tremor for my next-generation Ranger--unless Ford knocks the ball out of the park with the Ranger Raptor!

My two cents....

I drove the Tremor and then an Lariat FX4 back to back when I was shopping...the Tremor was a better ride (sharper/less roll).
But then I bought a Lariat FX4 and upgraded the suspension to the Fox 2.0 tuned suspension myself and upgraded to a bigger tire. I think it is as good/better ride than a stock Tremor...and is also adjustable while the Tremor stock suspension is not. The Lariat FX4 plus Fox 2.0 saved me about $6000 CDN over the Tremor . The Tremor does have more than just the suspension (small fender flares, grill, interior, bigger stock tire package).

I'm on 3.5 lift, with 285/70-17 +35 off-set. I have a Warn bumper so all the front crash support was already gone, but I just removed the rear crash bars last week because I was still getting some rub, on tight right turns with some suspension flex.

I'm still on FX4 suspension which is squdgier than 2.0, but my tires are only 32.7 inches. Not perfectly comparable, but even on 2.0, I expect you could rub the rear bars off-road, but maybe not on road though.

Good luck.

To edit, if you are on the factory rims with 33.3 you may be okay too. Added width and reducing off-set does play a big role.

I'm going with superlift 3.5, will see what the outcome in few weeks when it is installed. I'm hoping to get another 1 inch all around the front wheel well. The ride and stand at 33.3 is better than on stock definitely. I'm using 0 offset 17x8.5 wheel as well.

Crash bars are for luxury cars :)

Frankly I got the Tremor because the little fender flair and the wheels is what makes the Ranger actually look reasonably okay. I also appreciated it came with a pretty good suspension package. The Tremor has some different suspension hard parts (arms) that the FX4 doesn't have, too.

If you want to do a build and have better-than-Tremor suspension, just get the FX4.

Personally I'm a fan of IronMan 4x4's Foam Cell Pro line, but it's up to you what you go for.
Arms are same as fx4. Not much other than shackles, rear leafs, shocks front and rear difference in drive train and suspension.
