I apologize in advance because I know this has likely been asked a million times, but I didn't find many (and few recent) posts on the topic. I just bought a 2020 Ranger Lariat FX4. I have owned 4wd trucks before, but never did anything modification wise besides exhaust and don't have a ton of knowledge on the subject of suspension modifications. I am looking to add a 2.5" leveling kit (Rough Country probably) installed and to upsize the tires modestly. I would like to do the new tires at the same time to get the alignment worked out and be done with it all at once instead of adding them later. What is the biggest size people have been able to add without additional modifications? I really have no desire to do any cutting/trimming/removing of components on a brand new ride. I have the factory 18" wheels and will probably continue to use them. The truck is a daily driver and wont see any extreme trails or rocks. Snow and mud is likely the worst it will ever see. I was considering a 275/65R18 possibly as a new size. Does that seem reasonable? Thanks

I did the 2.5" RC level kit with 265/70/17's and there's no rubbing and didn't have to. remove the crash bars. There's a lot of info here about different sizes and what fits and doesn't fit. You can also use this chart to compare different sizes to see how large 18" you can go compared to the 17's.

Buy using your tire size in the chart it looks like the 18's will be .7 taller and .4 wider. There's not a lot of room in there with my 17's but maybe someone with 18" can answer this better. I'm sure it's covered somewhere in the first link to the tire size thread.

I did the 2.5 level and went with 20’s with nitto ridge grapplers. Rides perfect, no mods or cutting needed
It looks like you removed your crash bars - did you?

I went with the RC 2.5in leveling kit on 17x9 Fuel Vandals w/ +1 offset on 265/70/17 BFG Allterranins. Just a slight rub at full clock on the crash bars but doesn't bug me enough to cut them out.

Ford Performance Fox 2.0 level kit with 265/70/R17 General GrabberATX no rubbing. Once I added the RTR rims in 0 offset and I did have slight rubbing, all I did was adjust the crash bars and I removed my air dam, no more rubbing. Drives great.

After my 2.5” RC level, I managed to squeeze in some 275/70/17 General Grabber ATXs on +15mm offset Menace wheels without rubbing.

Very close to crash bars, so swapping in some ReadyLIFTs just to make sure.
