Just an FYI
Started out as a random squeak every once in a while a couple months ago. Sounded like a wheel bearing. Then last week it started to get loud from about 20mph up to cruising speed. Since it's still under warranty I didn't bother crawling under it.
Made an appointment at the...

Truck has 4,500 miles on it. Traction control light randomly flashes and it sounds like my front passenger wheel bearing is squeaking. Sometimes when you turn left the electronic steering assist makes noise.
But...
I checked those this afternoon. Didn't see anything out of the norm. Going to look a little more when I get a day off work. Checked for codes and none came up.
Stomped on it a few times today on the way to work and it didn't light up this time. Dam Fords. LOL
Kind of an odd thing I've noticed. When accelerating sometimes, while at speed, the traction control light will flash like I'm losing traction. It's a peppy little motor but I highly doubt I'm breaking the tires loose at 65mph and accelerating on dry pavement. When I get time I'm going to take...
I really like diesel. BMW, Audi, VW, Case IH, CAT, Cummings, Detroit, ect ect.
But I guess I'm outnumbered here in the states.
(Americans reaction to diesel vehicles)
:like:
I somewhat agree. 95% of American men that call themselves "mechanics", I wouldn't let touch my lawnmower. That number goes up to 98% when talking about dealerships.
Americans have been brainwashed into thinking diesel is difficult the same way they've been brainwashed into thinking covid only...
Why does anybody believe that diesels are "complex" or "difficult" to work on?
It's as simple as it gets!
I will admit that the US EPA standards make a diesel unreliable and inefficient, but once you remove all that crap, it has more power and efficiency with a lot less problems.
Diesels are as...
I can agree with that.
The US consumes more gas in vehicles than anywhere else in the world. If they sold an affordable, powerful and economical diesel option here, it could easily lower their annual profits because of less consumption.
Here in the Denver/Boulder metro area, the best and most...
LOL
If there's someone I trust to save the environment, it's definitely a bureaucrat on a private jet writing environmental policies.
Maybe if we just pay more in taxes the government can magically save the world.... Pay them first and then wait for the results.
The Ranger has been on the market for a while in Europe and Central/South America, available with a turbo diesel. Why not in the US? Why does the US never get the powerful and economical diesels? Last year in England I rented a BMW 5 series sport with a turbo diesel. It was a rocket ship that...
What's your project?
You should have spare fuse and relay in the fuse box. Why not just run it from there?
Not sure what the box is. Unplug it and see what code comes up on the dash.

Just a slight rub on the front driver's side crash bar(bumper bar), no rub on passenger side.

You're partially right.
Unfortunately your or my opinion doesn't carry shit compared to the market's opinion.
I feel Iphones are one of the most useless pieces of tech garbage to every be produced, unfortunately there's one billion people who think they are the greatest thing, so if I want...
I love the Tacoma, but to get one with the same options my $36k Ranger has would have cost me $44k for the Tacoma.
The big test will be in 5yrs when the Rangers have 100k miles on them. Will they hold their value like the Toy? I've never been hurt when buying a Toyota.
Agreed.
Mark your bolts with a paint pen so it will make it to an alignment shop.
When it comes to alignment, I would suggest to stay completely away from chain stores, those kids couldn't line up a lawnmower. Here in Denver there is only one shop that can do it right. Kennedy Alignment in...
Uploaded the 5Star 91Performance tune yesterday and put about 50 miles on it.
In sport mode it is very noticeable and the shifts feel no different than stock.
Initially, I'm 100% satisfied.
I thought I was smart. LOL
Driver's side went easy, passenger side knuckle came apart. Spent 5hrs trying to get it back together before I said "F it" and went to the dealership. $329 later, the passenger side was done.
If I were to do it again, I'd just take off the axle nut and remove it to...
Check different dealers.
I went to a dealer north of my house and they would NOT combine rebates with the 0%. Went to the dealership south of my place and they did roughly $4k in rebates and 0%.
I think it boils down to the sales manager and how he/she is trying to make profits.
