This drives me crazy!

Does anyone else have this problem with their 12v ports? I know it's a little thing but every time I hit a bump these little dudes flip up. ? ?

(What is driving me more crazy is that there is some glitch in my sync system and radio, phone connection, voice commands and GPS are non functional. The dealership wants to keep the truck for three days next week)

Can confirm, these doors/covers are stupid, especially since there's no place to hold a phone other than that under the dash/not for fat hands tray.

agree [in part]..I have noticed a number of times they seem up raise on their own. Would have been nice with a light positive 'click' to know they are in the down/closed position..

Maybe, and I'm glad to get crucified by electricians if this is creating some kind of negative energy field, find some small glue-on magnets to put on the bottom of the lid.

Seriously, I have on occasion noticed one of them open. I assumed I pulled it up getting my phone out of the pocket.

Mine flap too, usually the passenger side one flips up even though nobody has sat there.

I had one that was on the loose side. Took a toothpick and some locktite (purple if I remember right) and wicked a little onto the pivot pin. Not a problem anymore and they’re still functioning beautifully.

This sounds like a perfect solution. Purple would seem like the right application.

Mine seem to be overly sensitive. Like I could sneeze and they pop up. Although I don’t know if they actually snap closed
