Says who? Even if we agreed on that, why is the USB in the center. Would it not work with your phone if it was to the far left or far right instead of smack dab in the middle?
Uhh sure an offset USB port would have been nice but I think you're nitpicking a little bit here. The pocket perfectly holds a plugged in wound up cable with a phone that neatly sets on top. I don't have issues with cables bending because it's sized well and since everything is contained, I don't have messy cables in my dash area. I can assure you that since this is a modern vehicle with two USB ports in the cubby that is sized just larger than the average smart phone, this storage compartment's primary design intent is for phone(s).

The XL has one USB.. smack dab in the middle of the storage compartment mounted high so the cable is in the way.

Why make excuses for a bad design? Brand loyalty is great, but look at things with an open mind. I've ordered a 90 degree offset cable, but Ford easily could have done better.

Well, I use the USB for a flash drive with my music on it. It seems to work just fine. Different strokes for different folks..

I do too! The flash drive sticks straight out into the middle of the storage compartment... but if that port was off to one side the storage area wouldn't be compromised at all.

Brand loyalty? When did anyone say about brand loyalty?

All I said was that I don't have the same kind of issues as you with my cables due to USB port placement. My cables do not bend in any weird way so I do not need a 90 degree adapter. As @Surfink mentioned, he uses it for flash drives so maybe a flash drive wouldn't have fit if it was offset way over to the side. Who knows what Ford's decision making tree looked like, but I wouldn't call it "bad design" because it's not. Compromises have to be made, not everyone's going to be happy.

Just get a low profile flash drive. My truck seems to be able to handle that, a cable, and a phone just fine, with the left hand side of the bin still available to throw crap in. If the port was on one side, then that side would be unusable. In the middle, both sides work fine.

Power back window slide - but as I've backread and read other's comments, yeah, I probably wouldn't actually ever use it.
Sunroof - I'll miss my panaoramic roof I had on my caddy, but I won't miss the leaks and mildew smells.
Powerpoint - It would be nice to have another powerpoint up front as we sometimes work while travelling with multiple people
Power seatback - It's weird that all the other controls are except this one. Couldn't even find the lever the night I bought it as it was so large and fit the molding. But I don't care for memory buttons since I'm the only driver.

No real complaints here, and I really don't feel that anything was compromised.

Oh wait. Here's one that hasn't been mentioned. The exhaust pipe. It's... just a pipe. Not painted, not chromed, not anything. esp. on the Lariat trim, I'd expect something

It is pretty blah looking. Many here have put on black or stainless tips and it looks a lot better!

Painted mine black from the muffler to the tip with high heat BBQ Grill paint. $5 from Wal Mart solution. :)

Since we don't have paddle shifters I would've actually liked a column shifter to free up some center console space. And on that note to free up more center console space I actually wouldn't mind a pedal e-brake. Though I love handbrakes...so maybe never mind lol. But honestly its not missing anything that I personally would use

The hand e-brake is one of my favorite features. I would hate to lose it.

The drawback to a column shift would be using Sport mode. It would be useless on the column when you're manually shifting in S mode. Not that I do that a lot but now that I have it tuned I do it more often than before.

As far as the e-brake,I've never used mine and should try it out to see if it even works. lol

I was a little dissapointed with the color selection... I would have loved to see Lead Foot offered along with Race Red. Many cities/county's use bright red trucks as fleet vehicles and not offering a standard red (or any red) in XL trim may lead those customers elsewhere.
You can get Ford to paint any vehicle they make in any color you want if you buy enough of them. Have worked for construction company's that have their own paint code with Ford. Just have to buy alot of vehicles a year.
