  1. UPR valve cover vent.

Could you share a link to the TSB for main seal leak?
  2. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

Mine wasn't noticeably wet but was still the culprit of all my misfiring. Could just be bad quality control on the part, who knows. Either way, it's a cheap part that's easy to replace so can't hurt to give it a shot.
  3. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

I dropped one of the rings when I was installing it. It's in the engine bay forever now lol.
  4. Rear inner brake pads smoked at 28k!

I agree, 28k is very early. But fwiw, I just did a rear brake job (pads and rotors) at 60k because the inner pads were smoked. The outboard ones didn't have much life left but they definitely have more than the inners.
  5. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

Yes, the part comes with the sensor, two hoses, and two hose clamps that have plastic rings to aid in installation. The rings expand the hose clamps until you've installed it and ready to pull them out to clamp onto the hose.
  6. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

Agreed, those plastic rings are genius! Love OEM replacement parts. Much better than fiddling with those metal clamps.
  7. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

Another update. Nine months and 15k miles later, the truck started running like crap again. Changing out the spark plugs helped for a while, but the issue definitely came back. Finally ordered the EGR pressure sensor and swapped it out in 10 mins - IMMEDIATE improvement. Don't sleep on this...
  8. Tires 'cupping'

I have 265/70R17 Falken Wildpeaks on my truck and they are cupping pretty badly as well. I rotate my tires every 10k-15k miles and they were wearing very evenly until about 30k miles. Got one or two alignments to try and fix the issue but it never went away unfortunately. My tires are just about...
  9. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

Nope, only the catalytical converter, emissions electronic stuff is covered in the 8/80k warranty. Everything else is bumper-to-bumper, not even powertrain warranty. Very frustrating.
  10. Truck went dead, thought it was battery, hour later it cranks !

That happened to me once. Truck didn't respond to any key fob inserts, wouldn't start, no light, nothing. It then started the next morning. Super weird, and still have no idea what caused it. Maybe some weird immobilizer hiccup?
  11. 5100s off road

Dang yeah not cheap. Wonder if shops will take apart and build just spring/shocks if you pulled/installed them yourself.
  12. 5100s off road

If you've never taken apart spring/shock assemblies, I don't recommend doing them yourself for a first go. That said, a shop can do it very easily. I just installed the rears over the weekend, haven't gotten around to doing the fronts yet. While definitely an improvement, the fronts are just...
  13. 5100s off road

    That's odd, definitely shoot Frank @ Stage3 a message.
  14. 5100s off road

Who did you order from? I just ordered 5100 fronts from Stage 3 and they arrived within two days!
  15. Truck "bucks" at slow, steady speeds

In my case, it felt like an engine bucking when you're too high in the gears in a manual. It essentially felt like the engine was getting bogged down. My initial thought was that the transmission calibration got messed up and it was locking the torque converter too early. Turns out it was just...
  16. Truck "bucks" at slow, steady speeds

How much did all that run you at your dealer?
  17. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

    45k miles. I'm at 50 now.
  18. Truck "bucks" at slow, steady speeds

Welcome to the club! I'm surprised no one has linked this thread yet. Several people have had the same issue, including myself. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/bucking-surging-epidemic.14581/ It seems like replacing an EGR pressure sensor does the trick, but I fixed mine by replacing...
  19. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

It's been about 4 months since I changed the spark plugs, and I have to admit... I haven't had any bucking issues since. I haven't touched the EGR system. It might have taken a week or so for the new spark plugs to set in, but haven't had any weird symptoms since. Fingers crossed!
  20. Biggest tires, no lift?

Oh, in that case you'll need 265/75R16. That will have the same OD as 265/70R17.
