How about a electric brake engagement when put in park? Eliminate any mechanical lever?
A mechanical E-Brake is not just for parking... It is also an effective driving aid, especially on ice or other slippery surfaces.
Three cheers for the Ranger's mechanical E-Brake and its properly located manual actuator.
My TC has an electrical assisted manual hand brake and it works indiscernible from a pure mechanical handbrake.

Here's one I haven't seen much activity on...WHY do they keep using those stupid T-shaped steering wheels? I really love resting my hand at the bottom (as seen on our Escape) but there's no good place here :crying:

First thing I noticed when test driving a Ranger, was the light colored plastic A-pillar covers. They reflect off of the windshield and can be distracting. I might have to try painting or even plasti dipping them when my truck shows up.

I had the perfect steering wheel in my Focus ST, It would be great if that was the one they used. My wife's edge is the same way, annoying that you can't grab the bottom if needed.

I saw this complaint in one of the review videos and after driving it for a month I have to agree that it is a minor annoyance. It would be nice to be able to hold the wheel at the bottom. Not sure why they did the wheel that way.

I think the wheel is shaped that way to allow your hands to hold the wheel at 4:30 and 7:30 and still use the armrests on the door and/or console. I like it. I am having a hard time getting used to the cruise control buttons after haqing the better design on the TC, but its just a learning curve again. One more reason to keep a vehicle long term.

Yeah, that works, but sometimes I like to rest my arm in my lap and I can't do that with this design. With the other design shown, you can do either. Like I said, it is a minor annoyance - nothing big at all.

Especially when backing with a trailer.

On my TC, the door armrest is too far away to be useful, so I took a fabric shave kit container and filled it with a piece of foam cushion.(like a small square bolster)
This is placed atop the armrest and my leg to be used as a supplemental armrest for long trips.
It works well and stores in the door when not in use.

Panda Motorsports said they are working on one too with a May target date.
Well carid.com informed me that the tailgate assist is delayed again, now eta is end of June.

What happened to the Panda Motorsports option, which was expected in May? I just checked their website and no listed for this item yet.

my XLT Ranger has equipment group 302A. When I went to program the universal garage door opener I got a surprise. I found the instructions in the User Guide and had keys and garage door openers in hand.

I could not find the three programmable garage door buttons. It seems my truck did not get them. Since 2014; I have purchased five Ford vehicles. This is the first one ithout the garage door openers.

I suppose not a big deal as I am parking in the driveway.. the garage door remote works just fine.

I was just surprised it was not included even though I have the overhead console, dual heating/cooling and can start my truck from anywhere in the world.

Any one else surprised about something not ncluded?

I was surprised about that option as well (Though I knew it wasn't included). How about a light on the sun visor? Either way, you can buy the garage door visor for like 95$ and install it yourself. Legend says the wires are above the headliner and it plugs right in.

Also wondering why there weren't automatic up/down windows factory (all four windows). My Focus had them...

Power rear sliding window? Now I'm at the mercy of my children, and it gets left open all the time :)

That's about all I was expecting to see on a $40K truck and didn't.
