The best I ever got was 27.8. One time only. I usually tow about 5000 pounds, so 12-13 is normal for that at highway speeds.

In my case, if I have not driven in a while, it won't stop until the battery is fully charged. Also, in Texas, it won't stop if it is hot out and the AC is "on"

I tow about 5000 pound trailer. One trip I tried using just regular. Result? Power is definitely reduced as well as gas millage. It was an experiment, but when towing I now use at least mid-octane gas. I use regular when not towing.

Same here. I can notice the improvement only when towing.

When I got the recall, they said that they would notify me when the parts were available. Update March 11: I received a letter saying the parts are now available and made an appointment with my dealer for this Friday.

The only time I use higher octane fuel is when towing. I can tell the difference then (MPG and power).

I have an EZPass on my Ranger and have had NO problems.
