May be time to get an Offset Extension Wrench and not bother removing that plug to drop the spare.

Had an act of stupid yesterday. Saw 5 squirrels come out from under the backside of the truck and decided to drop my spare to make sure they weren't trying to build a nest or store food on top of the tire. Well after raising the spare back into place and getting everything put away I left my lock on the bumper ?

Does anybody know if a 23 0r 24 plug will fit a 22 Ranger ?
And if I buy $30.00 kit from Ford can it be used without re-keying it, so it will act like a plug and not a lock.

The 2024 shows this Part Number: LB3Z-17K922-A
It depends on the hole in the Step Pad, if it is the same as the 5G it should work.

OEM Ford Parts Direct - shows 1 in stock (In-Store) @ $5.05
Which is actually - T-Bred Ford (Boardwalk) by the St. Luke's North.
You have to purchase On-Line to get the best price vs In-Store Dealer Mark Up's
I use them for all Dealer Parts and pick up in store, saves shipping and for me its just a 25 Min drive.
I was actually just there last week picking up parts.

So you have an option (cheap) to test fit, other than that for the OE it would need a lock and keyed to the truck.
It appears the 24 just uses a blanking plate that rotates 1/4 Turn or so then same as the keyed version does but without a clear pic of the blank hole on the 24 its hard to say it will fit the 5G.
It looks like you are going to be the fit tester. :)

Well that sounds like plan there :like:
Do they have a $2.00 markup like Blue Springs Ford does when I order online and do in person pickup. They honor the online price somewhat, just that fee.

@airline tech

I put my order in this morning. I'll probably swing up there tomorrow and pick it up.
We need to do a meet and great sometime ?

Looks like Sat. is by app. only, so I swung up North on my way to work today and picked up the cover.

Went right on. Fit like it was made for it. Just turn it 90*
There is no stop so you'll have to center it up yourself.
