  1. The Trouble With Moving On

Nice write up. Ironically, I traded in a Ram for my Ranger because I was tired of repairing it. The final straw was the tell tale sounds of the lifters wiping out the cam lobes (HEMI engine).
  2. Report your MPG

24 mpg. 40k miles. Hot summer, 5W-40 only for the summer months because of towing the camper once a month.
  3. The text says F250 - the Badge says Ranger?

My uncle had an ‘85 Lariat with that same window.
  4. The text says F250 - the Badge says Ranger?

Yep, my bud saw this 80-81 Bullnose F Series at a car show this weekend with a Ranger F-150 Badge. Of course the compact pickup Ranger would launch in early 1982 as a 1983 model so no more F-Series Ramgers.
  5. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

I had to take the box my hard folded bed cover came in to recycling 😝 Nice quad fold harc cover replacement for my trifold soft cover. If I can’t sell the trifold, I’ll stick it in the shed. I applied preserver tothe vinyl. Supercab Ranger w 6 ft bed.
  6. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Drained and filled ULV fluid for the trans and changed spark plugs. 37k. Previously put on PPE trans pan and new filter and fluid at 15k. Shifts much better.
  7. Delete Auto Stop/Start ASAP!

That was the great thing about my '23, Ford deleted it for me 😄
  8. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Put a leather cover on the steering wheel I bought from Texas Custom Interiors. Fit is ok, not as good as factory and probably would be better if I could have taken the rear plastic shroud off of the steering wheel, but that would require taking out the the airbag, which I am not doing.
  9. Spare tire

    Nice Supercab!
  10. Mice!!

Friend of mine had his 2015 Tacoma get attacked by mice twice. Both times ruined the wire harness. And a coworker had their VW wiring chewed as well.
  11. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

My 5G parked next to a 6G, both Hot Pepper Red.
  12. What did you receive in the mail today for your Ranger?

Bilsteins for front and rear. Apparently the fronts require a lot of disassembly, so I’ll wait a bit for that. The rear OEMs were leaking and I could compress them easily with my two hands 😒
  13. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I siphoned out the old diff fluid, cleaned the magnet and replaced with new. Pretty dirty at 29,200 mi, but I do tow with it.
  14. Differential and transfer case oil change

29,200 miles, opened the fill plug, siphoned out the old diff fluid, cleaned off the magnet and replaced with new fluid. Fairly easy, wish it had a drain but was easy enough to siphon out. Added the recommended amount per the Owner's Manual.
  15. Are you happy with your Ranger poll?

My 2023 STX has exceeded my expectations. Pleasure to drive, absolutely comfortable on the highway and pulls my camper like a champ.
  16. What did you do to your Ranger today?

New tires. At 28k mi the factory Bridgestones had 1/4" of tread left. Trying out Cooper Pro Control.
  17. Are You and “In” or “Out” Guy…?

Truck generally sits outside next to the camper. My Mustang Convertible is in my garage space.
  18. Are You a Cat Person or a Dog Person?

Grew up with dogs. Cats are easier to have when you're gone all day. Love both to be honest.
  19. Oil filter is stuck

Required removal of a splash shield. And the angle is more favorable for a filter wrench from below, than from the side. Some oil spills on the crossmember, minor annoyance. Actually had cars that made a much bigger mess when removing the oil filter.
  20. Oil filter is stuck

Oil drips on the crossmember. Minor issue considering I have clear access to the oil filter.
