Clicking is a sign, I had one fail on my last truck a ford explorer, that was easy to get to and I wire tied it in the Heat position for winter and then changed it for summer, I wasnt going to pull the dash apart on an 18 year old truck LOLI also have a 2020 - what are the symptoms of this? so far seems fine but do hear some clicking under the dash sometimes I assume that is what it is .
That's why we're not here doing posts on this forum...Lots of us didn't...

Someone here needs to start a youtube Channel on "just" the 19-23 RangerDo you have a how to?
How did they reset it? Maybe if you keep it at that hot/cold mix and just adjust fan from here on it will stay as is?Yes they can be reset and or replaced and operate just fine but if it is binding then it will fail again as the actuator will again get lost and loose it’s position.
That's why I haven't touched the tempture controls. It's set on low, and I don't want jamed again.Yes they can be reset and or replaced and operate just fine but if it is binding then it will fail again as the actuator will again get lost and loose it’s position.
Mine was blowing 64° air out. Turns the air worked fine. The blend door was stuck and letting in hot ait mixed with the cold.I also have a 2020 - what are the symptoms of this? so far seems fine but do hear some clicking under the dash sometimes I assume that is what it is .
There's a U tube video on 2019 and up Rangers, that shows what fuse to pull. Then start Truck and run 2 min., shut off . Put fuse back in ,and see if it fixed it.How did they reset it? Maybe if you keep it at that hot/cold mix and just adjust fan from here on it will stay as is?
We pulled a lever or knob on the dash that opened or closed the heater door via a cable connection that never failed. But we've upgraded to computer controlled cheap plastic geared motors that fail all too often.Wow. How did we ever survive before computers?
Someone posted a how-to video on this forum. Just remove glove box it's right there.Do you have a how to?
