Mine (2020) seems to act like it has no wind from vents only sometimes.. I simply press AUTO and it seems to work fine.
Not sure if there is a mechanical or a control issue or combo play. Since I have the extended warranty I am not in a hurry to take it in- and SO far it has needed Nothing but gas and oil!

Wow. How did we ever survive before computers?
Ordering stuff I had to use a pen to fill out order form, put a stamp on it and drop in blue mail box...5 weeks older, my order shows up...

Also, HVAC door were mechanically connected to vents so nothing ever breaks...

I also have a 2020 - what are the symptoms of this? so far seems fine but do hear some clicking under the dash sometimes I assume that is what it is .
Clicking is a sign, I had one fail on my last truck a ford explorer, that was easy to get to and I wire tied it in the Heat position for winter and then changed it for summer, I wasnt going to pull the dash apart on an 18 year old truck LOL

Someone here needs to start a youtube Channel on "just" the 19-23 Ranger
you can probably get a close second by just searching "Ranger Blend Door"
youtube is awesome :)

Yes they can be reset and or replaced and operate just fine but if it is binding then it will fail again as the actuator will again get lost and loose it’s position.
How did they reset it? Maybe if you keep it at that hot/cold mix and just adjust fan from here on it will stay as is?

That's why I haven't touched the tempture controls. It's set on low, and I don't want jamed again.
I live in Florida, so even in the winter you very rarely need heat.

Mine was blowing 64° air out. Turns the air worked fine. The blend door was stuck and letting in hot ait mixed with the cold.
I think, it easier reset through the OBD port I be

There's a U tube video on 2019 and up Rangers, that shows what fuse to pull. Then start Truck and run 2 min., shut off . Put fuse back in ,and see if it fixed it.

We pulled a lever or knob on the dash that opened or closed the heater door via a cable connection that never failed. But we've upgraded to computer controlled cheap plastic geared motors that fail all too often.

Sometimes less is more.

I had a very old pickup that actually had a hinged door that you opened to allowed heat into the cab.
