Anyone out there with experience installing this kit decide for or against the additional 1/2” perch spacer?

The kit I received didn’t come with them and Jeff from @SVC Offroad was nice enough to send a pair along. They arrive today. I don’t see any info/pics/videos of anyone using them anywhere on the interwebs. It must have been a late addition to the kit because it’s not in their instructions either.

They’re getting bolted on this Thursday one way or another.

Pros and cons?

Pairing up with 265/70R18 Wildpeak + 1” Bora wheel spacers on Lariat wheels.

Appreciate any input or feedback.

Hey Chris,

Sounds like a fun project. I’m not familiar with this kit and was curious about the amount of level it provides but couldn’t find that info on their site. Did Jeff give any indication of how much lift there is without using the extra 1/2” spacer?

Ya know. I don’t have that exact spec. Hopefully they will chime in here since I tagged them. I’ll go take a measurement. I’d venture to say 1.5” w/o and 2” with. Claiming you can add up to 33” tires.

I just like that it sits below the spring - seems to be a much safer way to get those results. More difficult of an install, but better performance IMO.

Received the perch additions. It was really nice of them to include 1/4” as well as 1/2” option. It’s perfectly designed to fit inside the main collar which would push the bottom of the spring that much further up.

The main collar measures exactly 1” without. I’ll be sure to take hub to fender measurements before and after.

MUCH BETTERER!

Falken A/T3W: 265/70R18 + SVC Perch Collar with additional 0.5” spacer + Bora 1” wheel spacers.

Stock height:
Front: 21”
Rear: 23.5”

After:
Front: 23.5”
Rear: 24.5”

So, 1” gain from the tires + 1.5” from the collars. That means I gained some decent ground clearance. I’m happy with that. I did have to remove the plastic covers on the front crash bars. I’ll do some compression testing, but, I think I’m in the clear. I guess getting the BDS kit would be added assurance.

2500mm pretty much dialed in the speedometer (always 4-5% less than actual which was 2601mm). I need some highway GPS tests. But, it’s close enough for now.

Now I gotta adjust the headlights.

FWIW: I’m glad I had professionals disassemble and reassemble the shocks. As someone that likes to wrench these types of projects - it was reassuring that it was beyond my capabilities with the tools that I have. The technician is a good buddy of mine and he said he’s never worked with such strong springs. That being said, it’s a regular shop and not an off-road shop. But, the spring bent the forks on his several thousand dollar machine. Glad I didn’t try and prove something and use an Amazon special.

Looks brilliant, now we gotta get you on the trails to test out the travel and flex! My big question is how did you do the speedo recalibration? I am on 35's now with a 3.5 lift and my speedo is off by a decent percent now, not a big bother but i would love to fix it if possible

For sure! I’ll be testing this rig out a bunch this fall. I can’t drive my manual transmission bronco at the moment because I’ve recovering from shoulder surgery. So, good timing on our Transit kicking the bucket. Haha.

I used Forscan. It’s in BCM. I meant to jot down what it was stock - but, I started at 2600 and it was about 1 mph fast.

I read somewhere that the Lariats with 18” wheels had the wrong calculation from factory in the first place….so, 30k miles aren’t really accurate.

(not sure why the quote is broken, I just hit reply)

I snagged a pair of Ready Lift Intrusion Bars off of a forum member for a great price. They look great. Perfect timing - because we just noticed the front driver is rubbing the front crash bar on full lock when reversing out of our driveway. I think it’s due to the 1” Bora spacers. Ah well. I don’t think I’ll need to install the rears in a hurry. They seem like more of a PITA to install.

I assume the passenger side will do the same, I just haven’t had enough time behind the wheel to test it.
