Any feedback on this? Thanks in advance.Wondering has everybody been able to install these with a portable spring compressor, not taking off truck?
Taking the strut out of the truck isn't the difficult part. Actually I'm not sure how you would be able to remove and replace springs on a strut without removing it from the vehicle.Wondering has everybody been able to install these with a portable spring compressor, not taking off truck?
Thanks! What I was thinking as well, but I have not pulled my wheel off to check space. Looks like on ranger not enough room for a portable spring compressor. Unlike on Raptor where people have put collars on without taking off vehicle. It looks like itās strut out to install to me.
This goes underneath the spring, not on top of the assembly. You have to completely remove strut assembly. Iām loving my SVC leveling collars, I feel like the truck needed the front end firmed up, have put about 3000 miles on it with a decent amount of off-road abuse. Very happy
Yes, it just sits thereOnce the strut is disassembled as such does the factory perch pop off (i.e. press fit)? Asking for a friend.
I put 8k miles on mine so far.Have had mine for about 4K miles now. FX4. Including light offroading around the mountains of NC.
Zero issues and no creaking yet!
You never got a alignment after install?I put 8k miles on mine so far.
The ONLY issue is that it made my front camber a little positive and that made my outside tread wear faster than the inside.
Im in the process of getting the camber put more negative/neutral.
The truck rode perfectly straight. You never got a alignment after install?
Hi Folks,The truck rode perfectly straight.
The positive camber was hardly noticable.
Plus none of the quick-alignment guys have the "Ranger Spec" and I'm trying to find a real shop that will just adjust it manually without the "Spec" info crap.
Also it took 8k miles to really show up and it's not like it made the outside bald just that it wore a little more than the inside.
