Suggestions on how to fix rbis

Was doing the annual Ranger clean up (the big one, not normal washing) and came across this and have no idea how to repair it.

up in front on the driver side roof I was cleaning and what is a plastic type of material flakes off. It appears it was a cover piece from looking at the other side which is good. Suggestions on how ro

fix is greatly appreciated.

That happened to mine and had them replaced under warranty. Only to have it happen again, the flaking has started, whatever material they used is not holding up. I have not researched nor really thought of a solution. Some sort of heavy duty paint, maybe a type of 3M wrap?

Duct tape, lol. I guess get the black color. Nothing says quality like having to duct tape your vehicle.

I've seen others on here have the same problem with theirs. Not to sound like a broken record but I've always hit mine with graphene and my '19 was still perfect. Which is amazing because the sun out here deteriorates everything so this is why I stand by this stuff for its UV protection.

If you go this route just use black Flex Seal.

I'm in san diego and mines a 19. I wonder if over washing it with the salt air have caused it to happen faster. I'm going to look into some other products. Duct tape is one of the last options on my list.

The salt air might have accelerated it? But keeping it protected will/should help in all elements. I do 3 coats on my truck once a year because of our intense heat. But I guess duct tape is always the second best go to fix.?

Funny thing is my custom monolithic roof platform has had rubber support feet on the front for a few years and they rest on the gutters. Mine are fine. Weird huh

That sure looks like it should be replaced under warranty. The defect list keeps growing.
