Ouch!!! I was wearing shorts yesterday as it was pretty hot here in Tennessee. Got out of my new Ranger Tremor and the back of my leg got bit by the Tremor steps! Nice new red tattoo on the back of my lower leg. Those steps are rough! If it was not for my 5'1" wife, the steps would find a new home. I am 6'2" and I sure as heck don't need them, however you know the saying about "happy wife, happy life" Sheesh...LOL!!!

I'm convinced the tremor side step hate is a jealousy thing or due to people that are accident prone. I think they look great and they aren't in the way at all. How about learn to walk/get out of a car like a normal person or don't be clumsy and you won't run into stationary objects?
I am always running into solid objects, that's why I ditched the steps.... hey, maybe I could wrap one of my yellow foam helmets around my leg:crazy:

6'5" here with a 5'4" wife. I don't need them but the wife does. After the first few weeks of shin dents and calf rashes, I learned how to get in and out without any problems. It's muscle memory now. I have more problems with the homicidal trailer hitch now.

I picked up my Tremor last week and I had Shrockwork sliders on my FX4; at the last minute I decided to have them swap them - I am so glad I did. I much prefer the look and use of the sliders over the stock step. Not as functional but more aesthetically pleasing (to my eyes anyway) and much more useful when off-roading

Here in Florida I wear shorts pretty much year round even at work. I am 5'9" tall and I step in and out of the truck using the step to avoid the rails. I wish I could find a hitch step made out of the same materials. So I could run into that also.

Those are a really nice improvement!
Yeah they are a much better look (at least in my eyes) and they are a true slider attached to the frame. Not sure why they didn't have better sliders on the off-road bohemeth. But assume there are others that like the actual step...

I actually use them. So instead of sliding into the seat and causing the wear and tear all drivers seats get on the door side, I try to step unto the truck. 6'1 here.
6'3 agree makes its feel like I'm sitting in car but yes ?

The stock side steps are fine until you are doing something (wiring, stereo upgrade, etc.) with a tool in hand and blocking your view (like a soldering iron) of the ground and then give blood. Always gets in the way when you are working on the truck, never when actually entering.
