So if you made the rules, you’d be correct. I’m certain you could work out a fair compensation deal with the forum masters if you were building some obscure part. I made billiard ball shifters for focus st’s and sold them on the forum without so much as a peep from administration.

also rock sliders and skid plates...

I agree with the above idea of just starting a new forum. One that is run by members and only cares to break even.
I've considered doing that already. It wouldn't be too terrible I don't think.

They do look good!!!! I'm tempted at times to put some on my truck. I'm wondering how these collect mud and snow. My running boards on my 2005 were terrible mud and snow collectors. I liked them, but hated all the crap they collected. One reason I haven't done anything on my new truck.

The Shrokworks Rock Sliders are great. But folks that live in areas with ice need to be aware that there are disadvantages to having frame mounted sliders -vs- body mounted running boards. Check out this link.

not sure that’s much of a concern even if you do live in cold weather. Your sensors will be covered in ice before the sliders are. Not to mention the rest of your vehicles being covered in ice.

Mine were $700 shipped.

I ordered mine on Jan 27 and still haven't heard a peep from Shrockworks other than the order confirmation.

I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.

Being covered with ice isn't the issue. Banging a hole through the paint.. might be an issue for some people. Opinions Vary...

As a point of reference: It took exactly 4 weeks to get ours.
  • Ordered Dec. 16, 2019,
  • Received Jan. 16, 2020.

So do you have a hole in your paint?? I think it would be extremely rare for that to happen and would have to be left like that for some time. Like I said before ice can build up anywhere so I wouldn’t call that a disadvantage to sliders.

Nope, nothing visible yet.... but it's only happened once. It sounds like somebodies taking a hammer.. and banging it into the rocker panel... every bump you hit. I can't imagine that's good for the paint?

You get a lot of ice there in Albuquerque?

I really like the profile and the tread plate on these. Definitely one of the best parts to get.

The first couple are from after my level install yesterday. :sunglasses: (I know, tires are next)

ya, sounds like something that won’t happen often. Just gotta be careful to clean the vehicle after a good storm. And yes we get a few good blizzards here in ABQ every year and especially if we go up to the Mountains. Kinda like Denver but lasts a little longer for you guys.
