I mostly stream music from my phone through Apple Carplay or through Satellite radio and rarely listen to terrestrial radio. I'm concerned that after a 3.5" lift that the stock antenna won't fit through my garage door, so I ordered the 2" stubby antenna @rangerdanger posted earlier.

Most FM and HD stations are still coming in clearly, but a few stations aren't coming in as clearly as before.

I got one of the shorties too, now getting into the garage is relatively easier :)

Just put my 4” Stubby on. I don’t listen much to the radio but after a quick check of different stations my reception doesn’t seem any different.

Do you remove your stubby in the car wash? I have the 2 in one, but I am not sure.

No, and I don't remove my short cell phone booster antenna either that's a mag mount.
I do prefer touchless car washes but have gone through some w/ brushes too.

No need to remove it but you could put a drop of blue lock tight on it for added protection. Be careful with those car washes, they just scream "scratch my truck"!

I can’t see it being a problem. I’m not a fan of that style of car wash either though but that’s a whole other debate! I prefer to just wash at home.

The best...

Installed a couple days ago. No detectable reception difference between stock vs. this one. It's a quality antenna for sure...

Went through the carwash yesterday and forgot to remove it ...I watched in horror as it went through the wash, but even as I witnessed it being wrapped and pulled on by those long wash cloth modules, the antenna didn't budge!

I just took mine off completely, never listen to the radio anyway... now it doesn’t look like a R/C truck!
