Seems like this got off topic. Thank you for your comments on storage options for the old shocks. When I change my shocks I will probably try to find a spot on my bedroom wall to hang them.

I cannot seem to message the guy that did the Toyo bump stops.

Thank you for the help. I will be posting the mods for my truck soon and maybe some videos if a few people like my page.
The OEM shocks are particularly large, imo. They are larger in diameter than the Bilsteins I used.

Not sure that affects you storing them, but just something that stood out to me.

Maybe you could use tham as a set of novel legs on a coffeee table, I think that's kind of neat from an art installation perspective.

Maybe I just hit on an awesome trend, like Kramer's coffee table book! =D

I’m happy to be here. I thought this was a truck community, but I like to make new friends too. I’ll post some memes soon.

This is very much a truck community, as the in-depth detail community members go to when accessorizing/modifying will show you if paying attention.
The cool thing is this has indeed become much more than folks with trucks yapping at each other. This is a community of real people with real lives that share real things with each other quite often. I am blessed to be allowed to participate and lurk here.

Well said brother! We've seen our share of things over the years from babies born, to accidents and illness. One thing I'm the most proud of is how we stick together in both good times and bad times. Someone's always there to help out and/or offer advice. I've been on a lot of different forums over the years and this one is definitely one of the best ones!

Amen to that - you really nailed it Chris. It’s an incredibly informative and comprehensive truck forum with expertise that is second to none.

But, Robert, it goes well beyond that as a helpful, compassionate, and supportive community where people often share personal stories. It’s a real privilege to be able to participate and share with the good folks on here.

Stick around long enough and you’ll see first-hand.

Just don't ever let Duke know where you live! Not even a bread crumb. From personal experience (twice) trust me on this one.:oops:?

Ok, so like others have said, if you want to upgrade the ride and moderately upgrade the capabilities, get some eibachs or bilstein 5100’s and set them in the middle setting…. Not the top, highest lift will be super rough and you will hate it. Suspension must have room to go up and down…the top setting means it can’t go down enough to properly react to the road changes and “skips” along the road. Start with the rears and save till you can buy the fronts. Also, unless you have experience turning a wrench on suspension system, have someone put them in for you. Changing springs is no joke and can leave with with a hole in your garage roof at best, or a hole in your forehead at worst. If you can’t afford this, you are better off waiting until you can. Otherwise you are you going to spend more money chasing issues and being unhappy only to spend more to do it again…. The right way.

Oem is crap 99% of the time, and if it isn’t, it still needs to stay on the vehicle it was designed for. Save yourself money and heartache by doing it right the first time. Just that change with the bilsteims or eibachs will be night and day, you will notice more improvement, and you are likely out less than $1k

welcome to the forum and to the ranger, thicken the skin a bit and have fun….. you will like here. We also serve punch and pie every 5th Thursday each month.

This can be a fun place to hang out.
This is the TRUTH. I traded the ranger for a bronco an spend twice as much time in here than I do the bronco forums. Too many jerks an keyboard warriors in there.
