It’s a Strut Tailgate Device (STD). It has become a bit controversial and very polarizing. There are two distinct camps and you either have an STD, or you don’t have an STD.just put a tailgate strut assist on and all of your shock problems will go away!!!! Ask anyone here!! most people here seem to want to call it a damper or something like that.
i have been advocating to call it a tailgate strut assist and give it real credibility
Good thing there’s a shot for that. ?It’s a Strut Tailgate Device (STD). It has become a bit controversial and very polarizing. There are two distinct camps and you either have an STD, or you don’t have an STD.
Come on, the party was great. Oh yeah, you were out of town. ?Just don't ever let Duke know where you live! Not even a bread crumb. From personal experience (twice) trust me on this one.?
Your new house warming party is going to be WILD!?
With a gas charged shock it's not supposed to matter. To those who have upgraded your rear shocks, did you install with the shaft or the shock body down? Eibach said they usually install shaft down but they can be installed either way. Shaft down always looks upside down to me but I have noticed alot of vehicles are like that now. Thoughts or advantages either way?
Whenever I re-use suspension hardware I will give it a very small dot of Blue LocktiteDid you guys use threadlocker or anything like that on the rear shock bolts?
