how do they dispute that camera footage? she is clearly on a green signal, not even going that fast. hard to argue for the person that turns in front of someone else, regardless of speed.
Always love the argument " well they were going too fast" so if thats the case and you could see they were coming fast then why did you turn in front of them again? although clearly your wife was not speeding in this case.

2021 XLT FX4 southbound on Chapel HIlls. Chevy Express van northbound on Chapel Hills makes a left turn, does not yield right of way.

The Ranger collapsed completely in the front. The gaps between door and fender remain as they were from factory. All air bags deployed. The driver (my wife) is very sore and bruised but relatively unharmed considering the nearly instant halt from 35 MPH to 0 MPH.

The other driver's insurance company was very skeptical about who was at fault. Dashcam video tells the story:

Ford did their homework - the crumple zones did their jobs. Someone experienced and knowledgeable will buy and repair Ranger.

in unrelated news, service master restore has an immediate opening for a driver if anyone is seeking employment
Or an 'interpreter' was requested at the scene....

As others have said, the only important thing was your wife came through it apparently fine. kudos to Phil amd the ongoing team for engineering such a stout truck.

I think if it were my wife, I would call our family doctor and ask if he/she thought physical checkup was in order.

I would just want to know for sure nothing that remained hidden or obscured by other aches or pains were there waiting to pop up in a few days, weeks or months.

It sounds like she did fine, so probably a close call. I am just a belt and suspenders kind of person, so take what I think with a grain of salt.

I will echo the doctor thing, insurance companies act differently if they think injuries might be part of the equation. I see the passenger was on a cell phone, can't see the drivers reaction. Glad to hear the wife is okay.

Plus, you are on a lot of meds these days

I am glad @someguy and his wife are okay, a check up by the doc would be in order by my way of doing things too, I got rear ended years ago and the whiplash showed up about six hours after impact and stayed for about a year.

makes me want a dashcam too.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Glad your wife is fine, looks like the other guy was distracted, why else would he turn right into oncoming traffic, maybe the passenger was trying to show him something on the cell phone. Good on you for having a dash cam, this is exactly why I have one in all three vehicles, saves a lot of hassle with the insurance company.

Wow, shows how quickly things can happen. Glad she is alright. The video should help you, I mean how would somebody dispute that? I added a quality dash cam a few years ago. I still contend it has made me a better driver. Kiss the wife, have a drink, say a thank you to whomever you think was watching over things (if that’s your thing), repeat as necessary.

Very glad your bride is OK.
Very glad indeed.
Good to know your truck protected her as it was designed to.

Damn. Really sorry this happened. Glad your wife is ok. I have dashcams in all but 1 of our vehicles - just installed one today, in fact (in an older Ford Focus that is driven primarily by my teenage kids... dashcam is a must there, imho).

I really hope I never have to retrieve and use footage like yours from my cameras - but I'm glad to know the Ranger is well engineered to protect the occupants.

Best of luck dealing with insurance, and getting a new vehicle.
