so after yall changed tire sizes did you set the new size in the system to get the correct speedometer reading and mpg calculation ?
just curios since 17 sounds like too much off a difference unless you are enjoying the new setup so much your right foot is on the go pedal more lol.

I'll have to look into this, I haven't made any adjustments. I was aware the speedometer is probably off but didn't know about MPG.

im not certain that the mpg is calculated in a way the requires the correct tire size, maybe the computers have ways of knowing i dont. but it would seem the diameter of the tire must be a factor some how. i know in forscan and most tuners the tire size / revolutions per mile are user adjustable to correct the speedometer and so.

people keep mentioning the speedometer but does the increase in tire size affect the odometer?

that may also be something affected by changing tire size. i do not know for sure but i would guess if the computer is keeping up with speed by calculation of revolutions per mile of the tires then the odometer would also be off a bit. these trucks have so much computer stuff i would not be shocked if it measured distances based on gps lol.

I put slightly larger tires on an calibrated the MPH with my tuner. I used the revs per mile listed on tire rack an speed was way low. Without any adjustment it was 3 MPH low at 70. Using my GPS I'm pretty spot on. The factory was set at 693 revs per mile. The website said my new tire was 657. I ended up at 680.

It does...when I went to 33", my MPH was off significantly...Forscan can correct MPH and therefore distance...I'm within 1 mph as compared to GPS speed...

Yeah one of the reasons I went with the ranger was fear than an f150 wouldn’t fit in the garage. Especially knowing I’d lift it at some point ?

Hey guys, not really the one to post but I did a lot of reading on these forums when deciding which tire/wheel setup to go with so here’s mine.

Readylift SST 3” front / 1” rear lift kit
Readylift high clearance intrusion bars
Fuel covert 17x8.5 +12
Ridge grapplers 285/70

Let me know if you have any questions.

Love your truck on 33’s! I’m still trying to figure out exactly what I will need to do with my Tremor to get 287/70 tires on. I did do a 1” lift in front. I like the stock wheels but may need a spacer as well as replacement intrusion bars to get them to fit. Not in a hurry as I will run stock tires for a year or two.
