"Finessing" at 4:36.
Seems many Rangers aren't 'finessed' properly.

I just checked and I have seam sealer on my 2/19 build.
I have been trying to figure out what it should look like with seam sealer but I am not getting it. Can you explain?

Thank you for doing that...I thought maybe that w

Build date 2/2019 and it has the seam seal. Do you think it has anything to do what part of the country you are in or maybe where it was built?

I'm in Ontario, Canada and we get lots of road salt hitting our vehicles. If this were true I would think mine would have sealer and it doesn't. I think what others have said is true, there was a problem with the sealer and they pushed ahead with production anyway.

Makes sense but it just seemed odd that some in February have it while others do not...have you asked the dealer about fixing yours?

my opinion, is that all the other process' that get done during manufacture, is this really the mountain of a problem some believe or is it just a cosmetic molehill? its only 1 part of many process'. I believe the dip in that tank is a far bigger protector for rust on the doors than some sealer over a joint.

You could look at it that way. But why should I have less corrosion protection than the next one?

I finally checked mine after all this talk. I have seam sealer on all 4 doors, just not in the corners. I would think it should be all the way around to be effective.

Checked mine today and I have it on all four doors except the corners, July build. I don’t think I’d be too concerned if mine didn’t have it, I’ve had other vehicles without and it never caused any issues that I’m aware of.

Dealer says Ford wants more pictures ,going to go back again .....I didn't pay less for my truck not to have it and those that do have it didn't pay more for it... they should all have it or not have it that simple

Mine, built 04/06/19 has it on all four. I wouldn't be overly concerned if it didn't. There is normally sealer applied on the parts before the door is hemmed. ( That's when the outer skin is wrapped around the Inner). So the joint is sealed from the inside. There are also sealer daubs applied near the lower skin that melts in the paint oven and runs down to seal the lower seam. After all, the lower edge is the most likely to rust.
