Mine froze so hard one time I thought I was going to have to disconnect the battery to get it to clear but instead, I took the fuse out to the info system for about 5 minutes, and it reset and all was well.
So, I see all the posts of bad battery predictions on here but my 2019 is still going strong and I have repaired friends' batteries with this device too. I was really doubtful when I bought this but it has made a believer out of me.

Bingo, give that guy a gold star...my 2019 did that for a while then the driver's side cooked me, and the passenger would cool...it was awful in the summer. I am sorry to say but if you don't have a warranty left you are in for an approximate $1600.00 (Denver's pricing) bill unless you try...
It is nice looking but HPR is the way to go regardless; I just hope the chrome they used is thick...the last two cars I had started to rust under the chrome in about 3-4 years (of course after warranty).
I checked for Sync updates prior to doing the map updates and it said I had no updates and was the version I needed, so I was not expecting Sync updates...regardless as soon as I get the time, I will try again. Thanks for the info, everyone!!!
Yeah, I am sure I removed it to early after seeing your reply...That is quite an update, and the instructions don't talk about the system updates...only the map. I have put it on a USB 3.0 stick in hopes it will be quicker but could not find anything saying it would work faster with a 3.0 stick...
I have that version and have subscribed but when I try to use voice control for navigation the system tells me it won't work until I update my maps...which I did but still the same issue.
I just bought the map 5-year updates as the voice navigation quit working and I was told to update the maps...seems like that is BS but I needed the ability to tell my truck where to go.
