Well now that i am driving miss daisy, keeping it under 2grand(the tach), and driving like i have no lid on my coffee, i am getting 21, 22mpg!!!!

WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK IT!!!???!!!

2020 xlt 4x2
All stock
87 octane
93 when towing,
Yup, it sure makes a huge difference when you're not in the boost all the time. Short trips especially in stop and go traffic will kill the mpg fast too.

This doesn't count for much since I've only had my truck for less than one day, but here is Day 1 report (according to the in dash estimates).

'22 XLT Tremor Stock
24.8 MPG
46 mile trip
Mostly two-lane county roads with occasional stop signs, and lights. Short bits on highway (<10 miles total), mostly between 45-65 mph for the entire trip. We'll see how things go with hand calculations, and how things go on a more typical day-to-day drive.

I just did a 2.5 hour trip (each way) an a weather front was pass through. I was driving into a fairly strong wind at 75 mph an avg'd 16.1 for that segment. I filled up an took 2 lane highways back an got over 24 on roads with 50-55 mph limits.

According to the compute on my stock 2021 fx2, I was getting 22.8 combined over the first 5k miles.

Reset one of the trips and drove 500 miles of maybe half highway got around 23.8 mpg.

The last 500 miles with a cover I've gotten 24 or so with mostly in town driving.

I fix things not people
19 XLT Leveled with 285/70/17 Grabber ATx with a Prinsu rack. Start/stop disabled, normal driving city/hwy (about 50/50) average 19-21mpg with 93 octane, 17-19 with 87 octane. Almost all highway can usually average 22mpg long as I keep it 65-70mph.

Stock I was easily getting 22-24mpg city/hwy mix, 24+ straight highway with 93 octane and start/stop disabled.

If I go easier on accelerations from a stop, let the truck loose a little speed on step hills instead of trying to maintain 65-70mph, I can skew these numbers a little higher(aka driving like a grandpa).

If I drove like the average person does the mpg drops really quick! Then you're just driving for smiles per gallon! ?

*edit: wanted to disclose these are calculated numbers and not what the truck displays.

Averaging just over 20 calculated by hand (Fuelly) after I stopped romping on it all the time. (Computer reports about 21.2 average)

Well, from my race trips that I started Friday of the week before last I've so far driven 1300 miles and almost all of those pulling the camper and dash reports 19.4 average. Tomorrow, I finish drive to ViR and then it's a short drive to camper owner's place to return it before I go home on Sunday.

Trip started in Eastern NC, went to CMP (Kershaw, SC) for a weekend, then down to Sebring, Florida for a week, now on my way to ViR (about Milton, NC) with an overnight stop in SC.
