So on a nice 65mph run, maybe 70 at times.. on two full tanks of nearly pure highway a few weeks ago. Got 26 one way and 25.8 the other. I was following someone to a camp site.

More recently got numbers showing aerodynamic issues are ... obviously.. not that kind to this thing. Just got back from a drive across Texas into the land of haul ass in west Texas towards El Paso.

20.5mpg, all highway

But I beat the Google ETA both ways by a good bit... So there is that.

19.8 since reset after tune 3 mo ago. Ran Livernois perf tune which dramatically lowered highway mpg from stock. Changed to trailer tow (did not reset) and avg improving now. Always 91 octane.

How the hell are you all getting such great MPG's? I'm at 15.9 consistently, only city. I also try and stay out of the Boost and my ASS works.

Stop and go city driving kills the mpg. I do a mix of city/highway usually 60/40 and average 22 mpg. Good think your ASS works! :whew:

City driving can kill it, especially if you're not light on the throttle as you take off. Managing your throttle input makes a *significant* difference in mileage.

To that end, mods make a huge difference too, especially tires, suspension, bumpers, etc. Anything that changes your rolling resistance or aerodynamic profile. The only time I've ever seen MPG <16 is when I've spent more than 25% of a tank doing off-roading or towing.

I drive the speed limit and mostly use cruise control, especially on the highway.
And when I can, I baby it, just to keep my MPG numbers high.

Side note; I've been in the bay area for 1.3 years now.
I pour 91 octane.

That bored... bored turbo. Impressive mpg but I feel back for the snail.
The turbos will start to appreciate it around 100,000 miles.

Ok so maybe you'all can help me with this mpg thing.
Here's the deal I usually try to stay in 4hi as much as possible, my tires pressure is around 27 for curb crawling and pot hole smashing and I try my hardest to keep it in boost, I also let the truck warm up for about 10 minutes and cool down for 10 minutes to help with engine wear and turbo longevity.
