Really?

I've been told by others...and service folks at the dealer that the transmission learns your driving style.

Interesting
I've heard a lot of BS from dealerships. According to Ford, the transmission learns its internal tolerances for better shifting, not "driving style".

Put 1000 miles in 13 days. Truck mpg started at 21.2 and now says 21.5mpg. I also try to drive like an old man to get the best mpg. I've filled 3 times and my fuelio app is saying i'm geting 20.4 and 20.76 mpg.

Just got home from a trip to Anaheim and back. Average for the whole trip was 23.9 and that's based on the average of the mileage calculations from the fill-ups along the way of the trip. Not bad.

Over the past few fill-ups (running 89 octane), I'm averaging about 22 mpg - manually calculated with a little over 3800 miles on the truck.

I posted this in the other MPG section but I'll cross post it here too.

This was by far the best I've had with the new tires/level with 35% highway/65% city (87 octane). Hand calculations and fuelly put me at 22.9. This was all in the D position and I was driving tame just to see what I could squeak out for milage this tank.

I've put on just shy of 1000miles and have not broken 20mpg. Truck stays between 19.2 and 19.4 mpg. 50/50 mix of city/hwy on 87 octane.

Then you and I are exactly alike. But with warmer weather, summer blend fuel, and more miles on it using 93, we should be 4 to 5 mpg better.
Maybe more!

Just shy of the big 10k and I have an average of 19.6, that is with TONS of WOT play time and off road giggles. Not bad at all imo...

Have not been able to do any better than 19.4. Drive 60/40 hwy/local averaging 19 to 19.2 lately with just over 1800 miles on it. Highway does include a depressing amount of stop and go traffic.

My mileage dropped because I'm having some fun with it now. I fill at half a tank about once a month.

I calibrated the miles per gallon. My hand Calc 19.7 on my last fill-up 93. Mostly all City driving which is not like LA City Myrtle Beach is like a small town. I've opened it up quite a few times there's a long Mile Stretch getting into my neighborhood. I've hit 90 miles an hour On that road. I'm not babying the truck anymore. I'm going to be buying a new one when they redesign it ..............at the same time Tacoma, gets redesigned.

So I'm not going to baby this truck. I hyper miled it just to see how good I could get. That was 22 around town and 26 on the freeway. I don't drive it enough to worry about MPG. I must be having fun because my last calc was 19.7 miles per gallon. I just wanted to calibrate the reading. After calibration, the gauge is the same as hand calc
