Sorry for the crappy photo, it's hard to take a pic of the windshield without glare. But there is a slanted red line just in front of the forward collision camera on my '21 XLT. Is that supposed to be there?

Oh! Now that makes sense. Thanks for the information and being quite helpful and not snarky!

I only know because someone here pointed it out a while back.
Yup, it’s a short heater wire. Keeps the air temp just high enough so glass doesn’t fog over and blind the camera.

funny. mine never clears when the windows frosty.
wheres the electrical connector located to make it work?

I agree, drive into some freezing fog where windshield certainly doesn't clear and you get every warning that your system is turned off.

Pretty sure it’s coupled in with rear defrost circuit. Dash defrost is a whole different thing

It's hard to tell from the pic, but I don't know that it's a wire?

As for searching the forums, the search feature sucks, and people need to get over it. It's not helpful or friendly bitching about it. Does it really twist your shorts so much? Obviously the answer is, it does.
